HIMSAGAR Express, which held the distinction for being India's longest train for a very long time, uses the mammoth Kanniyakumari- Nagercoil- Trivandrum Central- Kollam- Kottayam- Ernakulam Town (North)- Palakkad- Coimbatore- Erode- Salem- Renigunta- Gudur- Vijayawada- Warangal- Balharshah- Sewagram- Nagpur- Itarsi- Bhopal- Jhansi- Gwalior- Agra- New Delhi- Rohtak- Jind- Jakhal- Dhuri- Ludhiana- Jalandhar Cantt.- Chakki Bank- Jammu Tawi route to cover a mammoth 3711 km in 71h 10m with 67 halts enroute. The slip portion follows the Tirunelveli- Madurai- Tiruchchirappalli- Erode route. Regular link of this train is RPM WAP- 4.
India's longest train, i.e. 15905 Kanniyakumari (CAPE)- Dibrugarh (DBRG) Weekly VIVEK Express follows the Dibrugarh- New Tinsukia- Mariani- Dimapur- Lumding- Guwahati- Goalpara- New Bongaigaon- Alipurduar- New Jalpaiguri- Kishanganj- Malda Town- Rampurhat- Durgapur- Asansol- Adra- Bankura- Midnapore- Hijli- Bhubaneshwar- Khurda Road- Brahmapur- Vishakapatnam- Vijaywada- Renigunta- Jolarpettai- Salem- Erode- Coimbatore Main- Palakkad- Ernakulam Town (North)- Kottayam- Kollam- Trivandrum Central- Nagercoil- Kanyakumari route to cover a distance of 4243 kms in 82 hours with 54 halts.
