I traveled in Uzhavan exp last week Sunday from TJ to TBM. I felt little uncomfort that the train had too many stops for crossing and keep waiting for long time. So did not had a good sleep at all. Any talks of this train to reach chennai in 7hrs at least. I think the running time will be changed after Villupuram to MS double line get ready...any news regarding this...

Is the info about diversion true. But my doubts are. How Mannai will be able to get filled if diverted. MQ, NJ, TVR, MV, SY, CDM and CUPJ are the towns that wil be served by Mannai. The latter two towns will be having odd timings and hence people may not prefer.Earlier during heydays of legendary Shenkottah FP, CDM used to fill up the whole train on Fridays. But then people had comfortable sleep. But now CDM and CUPJ needs early morning or late evening trains to MS. NMJ and SY are small towns. MV pax- Some of them may prefer Kamban too. Hence my doubt

but we have to be very clear that On the diversion of mannai, we need tpj-ms exp via mainline to cater Trichy <trb> and Thanjavur <bld, tj, pml, kmu, adt> delta district...

mannai is the only express train which is having very few halts throughout entire journey although it's not an SF, even chendur,boatmail also stops many stations in delta towns.....
