Grievance : Compensation for private Buses Accident victims ?
Air Travel, Rail Travel and state Bus travel : Users get compensated for accidental damages.
Do we have any such Insurance policies taken by private bus operators ...
This is covering more than Railway Travel
But
...
we are using not only Rail, but Air, and Road also ...
This is my query and demand also that 'appropriate insurance cover is needed for travelers in private buses' In view of frequent fatal accidents caused by fire in bus or colliding with other moving vehicles, passengers lives are at great risk.
Many of us are using private buses with dream to enjoy comfortable journey. We have enjoyed, as we are alive now. But God's will is unknown. Even other people suffer as much as our family suffer consequences of Fatal accidents. Who is paying for the loss of family member, and when diseased is an earning member, the financial burden devastates whole family.
Govt of India should have regulation, and it is there, what it is ? how does it compensate the victims' family .... etc...
Please give your ideas ...

My knowledge of the matter is limited, but still I can throw some light on it. The motor vehicle act requires each passenger bus to get insurance done, even if it is a third party insurance. So accident victims are eligible for insurance claim from the insurance company with whom bus was insured. If bus was not insured then it is bus owner who was at fault and is liable to pay to traveller's family.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
