I want to file RTI for something and the response which I know won't be in citizens favour. If I buy a WL ticket and if IRCTC was unable to provide me a confirmed berth then why should the passenger pay convenience fee, transaction charges and service charges?
Technically, I purchased a ticket but IRCTC was not able to offer me the service it's not my fault then why should I be penalized?

Also, govt is promoting to make online payments and when we use the service several charges are added to use the service which isn't right for eg IRCTC. We pay transaction and service fee for booking and then cancellation as well. Rather I would go to a ticket window and pay
Just imagine the number of WL/RAC tickets being cancelled (voluntarily and involuntarily) everyday and the revenue IRCTC is earning for nothing.
