Hi, could anyone tell me why all south bound trains, including Udyan express, have diesel locos between Mumbai and Pune, when electrification is available?
Diesel doesn't come anywhere close to electric as far as riding comfort and speed is concerned. Plus, I would assume there are environmental considerations with the ghats.
I see north-bound trains running on electric locos though. Is there a reason?

As I mentioned, I see north-bound trains running on electric. They must be changing at Igatpuri or Manmad too right? So whats wrong in changing at Pune?

I am still at RAC 7. Do RAC passengers get any bedding in AC coach or do I have to carry my own bed sheet or something? Do they have extra blankets etc in Udyan usually?

As the four slip coaches from Solapur is now converted into permanent coaches from CSTM-SBC.
Very Good decision taken by our RM.

Admin, could you pleae make sure the Rake/Coach composition for 11301 and 11302 match exactly? Right now it os confusing as to which is the correct composition. Thanks.

What exactly is the train called now? 11301 or 16529? 11301 doesn't even open on this website. Also, the coach composition for 16529 and 16530 don't match here. Please update. Is it A3 or B3 extra coach?
