Mostly I have heared about this train for its slow speed and unwanted stoppages

i also travelled through this train. pehli problem jo chahe jab chahe aur jis coach me chadhta hai aur apni marji se kisi ki bhi seat par baithta hai aur jb chahe utarta hai, speed aese ki train ke saath paidal chal sakte hai.

You have finally remained in RAC and all are there in S-7.
Your sitting is as follows:
The 1st passenger - Will share berth no. 15 with some other passenger.
The 2nd & 3rd passengers - Will share berth no. 23.
The 4th and 5th passengers - Will share berth no. 31.
The 6th passenger - Will share berth no. 39 with some other passenger.
I draw attention of regular participants to this forum. Why this group is made to share two berths with some other passengers while they were 6 in all and a whole number to share berths within them ? Either 15 or 39 might fully be allotted to the 1st and 6th passengers [or 15 (1-2), 23 (3-4) & 31 (5-6)]. This is just because the charting official did not pay attenttion and allotted in Serial, irrespective of passengers on the same PNR.

Indeed a matter of routine concern. The Charting man could be more attentive towards group booking.

Dont worry , there are total no. of 14 coupe in 1AC coach.. you will be alloted with a berth no. when the charts are prepared .. it is a norm in indian railways to provide the coupe no. at the time when charts are prepared , charts will be prepared 4 hrs before the departure of your train ..

At the time of Chart preparation, status is once again determined. Originally "Confirmed" status passengers remain confirmed unless the coach type has changed e.g. from 14 berther FC coach to 12 berther FC Coach.
The last two then move into RAC.
But then some quota accomodations (like Defence, Foreign Tourist) get released back into General quota so once again some RAC passengers can move back into Confirmed status.
Once all the quota entry is completed, Charting is fired. The charting module does all this redistribution and informs the operator as to how many are finally confirmed, RAC and Waitlisted.
The charting operator now allocates specific cabins and coupes based on the type of coach received e.g. 3 Cabins (4 x 3 = 12 berths), 3 Coupes (3 x 2 = 6 berths). Families are booked together. Ladies are not allocated as a single lady with all other men unless she is booked in the same reservation (say husband wife and 1 son).
By this rule, since your children are both under 5, you would not have been allowed to book tickets for them so you have 2 adult tickets. You will be allotted coupe unless there are other "coupe requested" passengers who have booked before you have.

there's already a rajdhani on that route.. chances are less for a duronto on that route..

No it will be contniued even though it sustained a loss of nearly 1 crore for last 8 trips because it belongs to Orissa railway and train statrs from there.

@MOD: One more thing i like to request that most of Passenger train info about their class accommodation is provided wrong ,like in this one the info about the class is 2S SL FC which is NA .. In most of the Passenger trainswe only 2S.. So please correct it ...... thx

@MODerarotor: iss site ke owner se meri request hai ki ek chiz isme thik kar le.....Morinda ke baad yeh garri kharar(KRHR) or SAS Nagar Mohali(SASN) par bhi 1-1 min ke liye rukti hai...to plzzzzz isse bhi add kar le takki logo ko isse se suvidha ho.main iss garr se daily aata jaata rehta hunn... I also know the information about this station is not available on govt. sites ,plz beleive me on this issue.....

This train is no more ,Please restart it again ...... it was an excellent train with very less stoppages.... I was use to travel from Chandigarh to Kanpur ..... please its a request to the ministry...... Unchhar express is very slow and a huge no. of stoppages..... please mamta didi ... please restart this train
