Mostly 24 hrs. Sometimes you may face problem at the time of shift change. It is better to take back the luggage before 1 hr or so from departure of train.

Welcome to the new look of IRI, and also apologies to those who find this layout change inconvenient, and want the old look back.
The change was made because the old Tab/SubTab scheme was no longer sustainable with the rapid introduction of new features, and the resulting cluttering up of the screen. The new look is menu driven. There are 2 main components to the new look.
The Omni Search Box at the top: You can look up pretty much any station, train, search details by typing in the Omni Box. The box will adapt to what you type in. You can check the following details through that one box: Train TimeTables, Availability, Fare Chart, Route Map, Train Forum, Train Trips, Station Arrival/Departures, Station Map, Station Search - all of these are available through that ONE box. You don't need to go hunting around for the individual details anymore.
2. The Navigation Bar: The Bar is menu-driven, and all Tab/Subtabs are accessible through that ONE bar.
Together, the Omni Box and the Navigation Bar will allow you to access every corner of the site without hunting around for buttons or boxes. (see pic).
Further Details:
1. The Omni Box is "sticky". The contents don't clear after every query, like it was before. So, if you search from Station A to Station B, both stations will "stick" to the box, and you don't have to type in the same stations again for other details. So, for example, if you wish to search trains from A to B, A to C and A to D, one after the other. Only the second station box needs to be repopulated. You don't need to fill A in repeatedly.
2. The Navigation Bar is also "sticky". It sticks to the top of the screen as you scroll down. So, it is always accessible and visible no matter where you are on the site.
3. Infinite Scrolling: The various forums, news, train details, etc. will now automatically scroll as you page down. There is no need to hit the Next Page button anymore.
4. Both the Omni Box and Navigation Bar are "adaptive" and "dynamic". They will change depending on the user. For example, when you are logged in, all the "My PNRs", "My Blog Posts", "My Trains", etc. will automatically appear as a menu below your name. When you logout, the same link will change into a "Login" link.
Please note that only the layout has changed. ALL past functionality is still present as it was before. When you find that some feature seems to be missing, just experiment with the new Omni Box and the Navigation Bar, and you will find that feature. There is no need to look elsewhere.
This layout change was made after a lot of consideration and deliberation, knowing that the past look was not sustainable for the future. There was not much choice but to change. Please bear with us, just experiment and get used to the new look and feel.

IRI is a very useful site and i m fan of it. the new "Chains" facility is very nice and useful. I would like to have one very useful feature i think it is very hard to develop but still very useful ---- often while searching availability of a particular train, there are various quotas for each from and to station. If one has to travel at any cost, he will look each from and to station to see any availability. So it will be nice if IRI suggest the separated from-to quotas of each train and also the chance of confirmation if current position is not confirm.

My view on the change:
UI look and feel: good.
Automatic loading of page: good.
Navigation bar: v. good..
But I face the following problems
First and the foremost I think the from and to station should be there. As many of the new users first come to just see the trains and availability, and then get addicted to the other amazing features, I think it should be there, as the new box is not that clear to a new user. So I think this is the most important thing that should be present.
2. As already said above by Dipyaman sir, there should be a button for next or may be retry as in case of connection failure it will keep rotating and the user will not have to refresh the whole page...
3. Also for the station name also, all trains are not coming. So may be a next button as was there earlier when a train was searched should be there..
All of the above points have already been put forward by Dipyaman sir in a very precise manner. I support them completely.
Thanks and lots of congrats

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
