Yes, It's mostly on time. 12801 at times recovers it's delays between Kanpur and Ghaziabad. However, if it delayed by more than 2 Hrs, then NCR trains get priority over it.

I want to buy a tatkal ticket from IRCTC from Secunderabad to Howrah for 1st Oct, 2011. Now, I saw the that each day, available tickets on tatkal quota are as follows:
Falaknuma Exp: 3AC- 32, SL- 302 & East Coast Exp: 3AC- 48, SL- 237.
I plan to login to IRCTC at 08:00 sharp on 29th Sept on IRCTC and attempt to book the ticket. My preference is Falaknuma and that too in 3AC. Please advice on my chances of getting a ticket on each of these.

Tatkal for Falaknama will evaporate by 8 03 for Falaknama.
For east coast, it might run upto 8 15.
Try for both in 2 different browsers !!!

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...

The modification to the TL Update scheme - i.e. the introduction of the new RAC System - has led to some efficiency with TL Updates. More TLs are being discussed, and quickly moved up.
