Is there any preference for Wait list Tatkal Tickets booked from internet to get confirm? I read a news article last month that railways are planning to give alternate travelling accommodation for wait-list ticket in peak season.
I have a waiting tatkal ticket(e ticket) for tomorrow in Sampoorna Kr. Train No. 12394. The time I booked the ticked, it was 63 waiting and the current status is 47. So, is there any chance for getting it confirm?
Thanks to all for replying this.

How can I get a confirm tatkal ticket via IRCTC.? Since last week I have been continuously trying to book a tatkal ticket, but at 10:01 AM, all the vacant seats get full or regrets the ticket booking. I am amazed that there are so many trains to Hometown Bihar but still its a daunting task to get a reservation as confirm ticket.
Although I tried at reservation counter, only the first two people were able to get the confirm ticket, and the rest of like me were looking just in vain.
Its
...
a fact, that hardly 30% of total commuters know how to book ticket, have computer and internet connection and visit the IRCTC website to book the ticket. So where does this all Confirm ticket goes?
Its a railway ticket booking scam, which is a problem for a common people. If a person is poor inefficient to produce huge charge for a ticket to an agent then it means that he can never get a confirm ticket or can travel with a confirm ticket.
Even if the person is not having a good knowledge of Technology and does not have paid software to book tickets quickly by IRCTC, then he has to depend upon the agent only or will travel as wait-list passenger.

It is a problem for every common people and if it continues then it would be a dream for a poor person, middle class people who does not wants to pay bribe to an agent and the people who are not tech savvy; to get a confirm rail ticket.

Majority of people prefer trains only - so they start standing in queue in previous evening / night itself for ensuring comfortable journey the next day - only lazy people will blame railways for their mistakes . consider 200 seats for tatkal . there are more than 100 or + railway reservation offices in ur state . if one books 2 or 3 tickets in a counter , than whats the result ? plus those who are expert in online bookings also book it . So railways has given enough technology advancement for booking. lazy people will tell reasons to escape from their idiotic behaviors . if u want to travel peacefully , stand in queue from previous day and book the tickets . dont blame agents and technology . this post shows u r illiterate and lazy enough to stand in queues from previous nights .

Instead of paying to agent, I suggest you to book in Premium Tatkal (Dynamic fare) quota or some train with premium class only

QUES - I DID A TYPING MISTAKE HERE IN PROVIDING THE VOTER ID CARD, CORRECT NO WGL3793907, I PUT ^WGL379307^.
SO NOW MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS TRAVELLING ON THAT TICKET , AND THE TTE IS HARASSING HIM COMPLETELY THAT THE TICKET IS INVALID INSTEAD OF JUST A DIGIT MISTAKE. HE SAID YOUR TICKET IS CANCELLED AND THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THIS TICKET WILL NOT GET REFUND AND I HAVE TO REPAY AGAIN AN AMOUNT OF RS.5500, ELSE TTE IS THREATENING THEM TO UNBOARD THE TRAIN AND WILL TAKE TO THE JAIL. PLEASE SUGGEST THAT CAN I TAKE ANY ACTION AGAINST TTE FOR THIS HARASS, AND DO I NEED TO PAY THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF RS.55OO, BUT THEN WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE MONEY I HAVE ALREADY PAID TO THE IRCTC. CAN I DO ANY COMPLAINT IN REGARD OF THIS AND THE TRAVELLER HAS NOT THAT SUFFICIENT AMOUNT TO PAY AGAIN, HE IS JUST GOING ON A INTERNSHIP.
ANY PERSON HAVING GOOD KNOWLEDGE PLEASE SUGGEST ^URGENT.

Only way is to convince the TTE that it's genuine mistake while booking ticket and no other intentions. Premium Train Ticket is non-refundable, means no refund. Either convince TTE or pay fine.

Very sorry for the event but legally speaking the TTE is right in charging the whole amount. If you can manage him and if he is a little compassionate things might work otherwise you will have to pay that amount.

See Cnf e tkt pax names will be surely their in train chart and tte also carries same chart for checking if name avl n ID card num mistake then PRS clerk also don't enter pax full name during tatkal tkt they don't enter full name of pax if more than two pax in one PNR they also make mistake sex identity for male as female and age diff etc ,some times they enter only last 4-5 digits of ID card.
My suggestion is first check chart which tte carrying and check actually whether both paxs names exist r not if yes try too manage him.

honestly speak, now the whole condition is dependent on tte as you can't prove him wrong.but i should say please try to convenice tte, even you can also try to talk to tte,to tell the whole condition again, and tell that it is just a typing mistake, not intentional, and you have paid the full amount of ticket.try this way .hope so it works..:))

Ques. 1 Hi I booked two tickets via IRCTC in Tatkal Quota for Sampoorna Karnti Ex. 12394, but later on my cousin cancelled his plan of journey, so should I cancel this ticket?
Ques. 2 Or if I have some extra luggage then I can retain this berth; even if the second person of the two confirmed allotted births is not travelling?
Ques. 3 Or I can share/give this berth with any co-passenger or in need? As I have mentioned my ID for tatkal ticket.
Ques.
...
4 Last is that will the TTE cancel the ticket by himself founding the second person is not travelling without my consent?
Highly appreciated if any knows and can answer all these ques. significantly.
Thanks,
Sunil Singh
