will be full all time and extension is gud but SBC will come under Pooled quota hence travelers might face difficulty..!!!!

It will be good if Mysore gets more number of trains and if i'm not wrong there's a plan of making mysore as electric loco shed as well not sure about it but still hopes r there....!!!!

MANGALORE - Shimoga weekly no ways it will not work and when ppl are able to reach shimoga within 5hrs why they want to take long route..??? even IR will not plan for introducing weekly in this route hence this plan will not work..!!! but rest of others will be gud if they work on it...(y)

yeah then it will be awesome route, but unfortunately b/w tagguppa - honnavar survey needs to be done and clearance needs to be taken from forest ppl

if we get the connectivity b/w honnavar and talgoppa most of the trains moving from SBC to mumbai will be diverted/ will get new trains introduced b/w bangalore to mumbai, pune, honnavar etc...!!! and even the journey time will be reduced

But compare to mangalore people travelling from north karnataka towards kelera is very less and will not help the end to end travelers and they should make sure that the trains will get the end/starting point as Mangalore so that the connectivity b/w coastal Karnataka - north Karnataka will be made easier...!!!

even i'm not much aware of KR route but still asking each and every trains to Kannur/Calicut won make sense...!!!

It's not about blaming, look at the thing wat happened with 16517, when it was started initially ppl started asking to extend the train till Kannur and if u can notice that hardly people will travel till kannur from YPR and from Mangalore the rakes will be 90% empty till kannur and the same will happen if they do so again...!!!

yes for sure but unfortunately they are not demanding it, but not matter which ever trains starts by mangalore and they'll demand it to get extended till kannur...

No u got 16527 as daily via salem and 16565 as weekly express to kannur from ypr and even if they introduce another one by the same route will be fine but extending the trains from mangalore is not fine and hardly u can find people travelling from bangalore - kannur via mangalore

If they extend the train till mangalore u won find any end to end travelers and people won agree to travel for such a long time too

he he lol well i'm not blaming SR for extending trains to kannur or anywhere else my point is extending each and every trains which arr/dept at mangalore makes no sense

no idea about ers but if there are travelers then no issues in extending but jus for name sake extending and if there's no revenue wat's the use..???
All the mentioned trains hits the major stations and b/w kannur to bellary hardly couple of major stations are there are u can hardly find travelers form those stations to kannur or ers

Any members from Mangalore may kindly help. I would be arriving at Mangalore Junction (kankanadi) from Pune by Poorna Express. The time is 7:00 pm (approx) and then have to catch another train from Mangalore Central at 21:00hrs. What are the modes of transport available from Kankanadi to Mangalore Central and how far is the distance? I have heard it is a bit isolated from the town hence wanted to know as to how safe the travel is between Mangalore junction and Mangalore central

u can hire auto rickshaw / can catch city bus if available to reach mangalore central, but first preference goes to auto rickshaw
