Hello!
I have 2 waitlisted 2C tickets from Mumbai to Allepey on 3rd November. I understand the system and have put the details into the predictor and it says chances of getting cnfirmed are high, but I'm wondering at what point tickets usually get confirmed? We really want to have all of our accommodation booked before we arrive in Mumbai, but don't want to base all of our other travel plans around these tentative tickets just in case, so wondering if they ever get confirmed weeks in advance of the date of travel, or does it only happen when the chart is drawn up? It'll be my husband's first time in India, so I'm trying to make the trip as easy and

stress-free as possible, and showing up to the train station for a 30 hr train jourey with the hope of unconfirmed train tickets getting us on the train, no matter how likely that is, doesn't fit with this! Especially not knowing if we'll have a bed for the night! Thanks for any advice you can offer :-)

Thanks for your reply! As I mentioned, I already entered the info into a few online predictors and it came out with a high chance of being confirmed, but if they don't get confirmed before I travel to India, I'm going to cancel the tickets as I don't want to base my whole trip around unconfirmed tickets, or arrive not knowing for sure if I'll be able to travel (comfortably!)
The class is 2AC, the train is Netravati Exp Train# 16345, the PNR is 8240076518

A minor update, but may impact many members: Hereafter, FMs will be able to delete invalid Red Flags on Imaginary trains. -@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...

The modification to the TL Update scheme - i.e. the introduction of the new RAC System - has led to some efficiency with TL Updates. More TLs are being discussed, and quickly moved up. However, we still have on Average, about 300 Waitlisted TLs in the backlog at any time, and our hard-working and diligent TLMs...
