That depends on TTE whether he wants to check the ID or not but as per the rules he has the right to check ID of one passenger on a PNR.

If you have a waiting ticket, full refund will be done if at the time of cancelling its still in waiting status. If it's confirm, no refund and in that case, its better not cancel

If it is PRS booked counter ticket then sms email will no be valid . You have to apply for duplicate ticket
You have not mention whether it is Confirmed/ RAC or WL ticket.
If you have WL ticket then you will not get duplicate ticket
If you have Confirm/RAC ticket then you have to go to nearest PRS and prove your

self to Supervisor that your are the guniene holder of the lost PRS ticket then only he will issue duplicate ticket.

Blogger may need duplicat ticket.
but his question is about whether traveller is getting permission from TTE when he can only show Mobile PNR and ID proof.
Getting duplicate ticket is yet one question/response in alternative option. But main question remains unanwered still.

Please note the main blogger does not toldl that it is a tatkal ticket so there is no need of ID proof.
Second it is a PRS booked ticket so Mobile PNR is not valid. Mobile PNR sms by

Also the main blogger does not told that he has whether WL or Confirm ticket
If it is WL ticket then he cannot get the duplicate ticket also.

In simple way we can say all this ID proof, SMS, email will be not valid and TTE will not allowed all this.

"Benefit of doubt may be given to defendant"
and here passenger says:
1-he booked ticket from PRS,
2-will he get his seat
from above we can infer he has confirmed ticket, else he
...
will not worry for his seat/berth.
Further, in case of loss of PRS ticket, he has only validly to prove that he is genuine passenger and hence he prefers to show ID proof. Else in normal cases, why will he need to show ID, unless it is tatkal.
So we should accept his question on facevalue.
Raising valid objection is OK.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . -@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
