\**PROPOSED SAWANTWADI TERMINUS**/
Hello all, i got an unclear image of sawantwadi station up-gradation project. I could able to conclude some results from that. Few are as follows:
1. old goods track(@EAST) has been removed and a 12m wide PF is constructed.
2. PF1(old) will be widen to 10m as of now 6m.
3....

a new FOB(3m high,2-3m wide will connect new12m PF and 10m PF(old pf1).
4. old PF2 will be dismantled as doubling track(main line2) is overlapping it.
5. loop line is being constructed besides new 12m PF.
6. station is going to have a stabling line between main line1(current) and new loop line.
7. so in future station will have 2PFs with total 5 lines(2main+2loopPF+1stabling).
8. old station building(@WEST) will be dismantled and new building will be formed @EAST side.
9. Entry and Exit road(around 16m wide+4m for parking+12m unused land upto boundary) will be from EAST.
10. a overbridge for vehicles @old railway crossing(madgoan end) will be formed.
11. provision for escalator is made along with FOB.
As per my opinion, they are going to use the current station front space(WEST side) for other utilization(in future).
Up to my utter surprise, there are no pit lines and terminal line PF in the plan, though the project is commissioned as SAWANTWADI TERMINUS.
**Being a wadikar, an engineer and a big fan of Konkan railway, i would like to know the detailed project plan of SAWANTWADI TERMINUS upgradation. So thinking to take help of RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT. I request your opinion regarding the concern.

Mine is somewhat diff.. 7KMS away from city. ya but due to newly built NH17 sawantwadi bypass, unwanted traffic is much reduced in the city..and now i can here the chugging sound of any at my house

Just curious how many stations are there in IR which are not skipped by any trains......has to be a normal station only....terminal stations won't be considered as it is obvious that all trains must stop at terminals!!!

रोड रेल्वे (मळगाव) स्टेशनवर रेल्वे
टर्मिनसचे काम सुरू आहे. हे काम धिम्या गतीने सुरू
असल्याचे सांगण्यात आले. रेल्वे मंत्र्यांनी घोषणा
करूनही वेळेत हे काम झाले नसल्याने प्रवासी
वर्गात चर्चा आहे. कोकण रेल्वेचा सावंतवाडी
रोड रेल्वे स्टेशन, नवीन फलाट, रेल्वे सायडिंग
उभारणीकरिता २१ कोटी २० लाख रुपयांचा
निधी रेल्वे मंत्रालयाने मंजूर केला. तसेच या
स्टेशनवर शंभर रुमचे पर्यटनाच्या धर्तीवर हॉटेलही
उभारण्याचा संकल्प रेल्वेमंत्रालयाचा आहे.
मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस, रेल्वेमंत्री सुरेश प्रभू,
पालकमंत्री दीपक केसरकर, खासदार विनायक
राऊत आदींच्या उपस्थितीत सावंतवाडी रोड
स्थानकावर भुमिपूजन करण्यात आले. टर्मिनसचा
शुभारंभही लवकरच करण्याची घोषणा झाली.
ऑक्टोबर महिना संपला. सध्या सुरू असणाऱ्या
कामामुळे टर्मिनसकरिता उशीर होण्याची
शक्यता आहे.
पालकमंत्री दीपक केसरकर यांनी महाराष्ट्र
सरकारच्या वर्षपूर्तीनिमित्ताने बोलताना
टर्मिनचे काम वेळीच पूर्ण होईल, असे म्हटले आहे.
कोकण रेल्वेमुळे सिंधुदुर्गच्या पर्यटनात निश्चितच
वाढ झाली आहे.
सावंतवाडी येथे नव्याने होणाऱ्या रेल्वे
टर्मिनसमुळेही भविष्यात सिंधुदुर्गमध्ये रेल्वे
फेऱ्यांची संख्या वाढण्यास मदत होणार आहे, असे
पालकमंत्री केसरकर यांनी म्हटले आहे.
सावंतवाडी रेल्वे टर्मिनसअंतर्गत विविध कामे
करण्यात येणार असून
डिसेंबर २०१५ पर्यंत सावंतवाडी रेल्वे टर्मिनसची
१३ कोटींची कामे पूर्ण होणार असून,
टप्प्याटप्प्याने ३० कोटींची कामे पूर्ण
अस्तित्वात येणार आहेत. सावंतवाडी रेल्वे
टर्मिनसमुळे जिल्ह्य़ाच्या पर्यटनात व आर्थिक
सुबत्ता वाढण्यास मदत होणार आहे. तसेच
स्थानिकांना मोठय़ा प्रमाणात
रोजगाराची संधीदेखील उपलब्ध होईल असे
पालकमंत्री दीपक केसरकर यांनी म्हटले आहे.
सावंतवाडी रेल्वे टर्मिनसचा पालकमंत्री दीपक
केसरकर यांनी इश्यु केला होता, पण रेल्वेमंत्री
सुरेश प्रभू यांनी प्रत्यक्षात कृती करून चालना
दिली आहे. रेल्वे गाडय़ांसाठी नवीन फलाट
उभारण्यात येत आहेत, तसेच उड्डाणपुलाचीदेखील
कामे हाती घेण्यात आली आहेत. येत्या
डिसेंबरच्या अखेपर्यंत टर्मिनसचे काम अपेक्षित
आहे. पण प्रत्यक्षात हेही काम वेगाने सुरू नसल्याने
पुढील काही दिवस टर्मिनसचे स्वप्न पुढे जाईल,
असे प्रवासीवर्गात बोलले जात आहे.
