I booked ticket 12841 for dated 19-12-2013 on 2A. I observed a strange thing. On 18-10 when I tried to book the ticket, I got mesage booking window not opened. At 08:00 AM on 19-10 when I opened irctc URL, It was showing only 40 vaccant seats in 2A class avilable for Cormondal EX. Does it mean booking winodow for manual booking opens one day prior of internet booking. This train has two 2A coaches and half of HA coach. I also surprised to see that on 20-10 at 8:40 AM that 27 waiting list for same class and same train for the date of 20-12-2013. How it is possible, Current booking window is 60 days. And within 30 mints it reached to waiting list. Thanks for your reply.

Does railway degrade irctc, specially for tatkal booking. In other time of day it is difficult ;most of the time it goes sessions time out at various level like a) book option b) go option and almost all time to make payment. Previously I used to book tatkal by irctc but now I cannot , Yesterday I booked my father's ticket from HWH to MAS doj on 24/06 after 40- 45 mins efforts ( at 11:30 AM) . It bacme hang so many times, I opened two three windows. I am usuing i-explorer 7, and google chrome avg speed is 2mbps+ download. Is there any other booking URL ( as MAMATA then rly minster promised)
