katni singrauli railway line currently is single diesel line.
atlas shows it is double diesel line and electrification is in progress.
where as it is single diesel line
with doubling and electrification is in progress.

CHHAPRA: Decks are likely to be cleared for plying of passenger trains between Mashrakh and Thawe by the end of March or the first week of April this year.
Hope for introduction of passenger train services on the route brightened following an inspection by P K Acharya, commissioner of railway safety, NE Railway, on Monday. A high speed train ran on the newly laid track as trial. Currently, passenger trains run between Chhapra and Mashrakh only.
Sanjai Yadav, CPRO, NE Railway, Gorakhpur, said the Railway Board would soon be approached to give green
signal to the project. “Necessary rectifications, as suggested by Acharya, would be done soon,” the CPRO added.,
He said Acharya arrived at Mashrakh station from Chhapra by a special inspection van and left for Thawe in a motor trolley to inspect the newly laid track. During his return journey, the CRS inspected the route on a high speed train. There are 24 stations and about 13 halt stations in the section.
Locals hoped that express trains, especially the New Delhi-bound trains from Pataliputra station, would also pass through the section. At Mashrakh, some rail passengers narrated their problems to the railway officials accompanying the CRS and demanded that basic facilities, such as toilet and drinking water, be improved at the station.

Speed trial between Tihi-Rau (single line) and Rau-Indore (second line). After almost a year, the second line between Rau and Indore is ready and CRS Inspection Train ran @110 for the speed trial. With this there will be two lines avaialble from Indore to Rau Jn. and then 2 single lines towards Mhow and Tihi (Pithampur) respectively. In Tihi, ConCor has constructed a new container depot which will have goods and container trains from Tihi to Ratlam.

Indore: A train at a speed of 110km/hour on the tracks threw away dust making it look like a thick cloud of dust suspended in the air here.
It was a scene near Juni Indore on Monday evening when the railways conducted speed trial of a newly laid broad gauge rail line between Indore and Tihi to check performance of the track.
This new 23-km line between Indore and Tihi under Indore-Dahod rail line project is expected to be commissioned by the western railways in 15 days. The commissioner of railways safety (CRS)
Sushil Chandra conducted trial on this newly converted track at a speed of 110km/hour.
Chandra is expected to give trial report by this week and he would also mention speed limits of the track. After this the railway would issue an authorization and then the train would become operational.
Authorities on Sunday also carried out a technical inspection of this track.
"The track is almost ready for operations of passenger trains, but a final decision in this regard will be taken up by the railway board," said Chandra. He further said the track has been developed in best manner, there were few shortcomings which will be rectified soon and then the track would be made open for train operations.
The CRS began his trial from Tihi railway station around 5.10 pm and concluded at Indore at 5.31pm. The train also had halts at Rau and Rajendra Nagar railway stations.

Indian Railways will soon start sub-projects aimed at introducing semi-high speed trains on the Delhi-Howrah and Delhi-Mumbai routes, a senior ministry official said on Tuesday. “The two sub-projects under ‘Mission Raftaar’ are expected to be completed in three years with a total outlay of Rs 18,163 crore,” the official said. After the upgrade, trains on the routes will run at a speed of 160 km per hour.
The ‘Mission Raftaar’ project of the Indian Railways envisages to raise the average speed of both passenger and freight trains. The mission is being spearheaded by a cross disciplinary mobility directorate in the Railway Board. The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said a Detailed Project Report of the routes is being prepared.

The Delhi-Howrah section will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 6,974 crore, and the Delhi-Mumbai section at an estimated Rs 11,189 crore. The official said the work involved replacing locomotives-hauled trains with Main line Electric Multiple Units and Diesel Electric Multiple Units trains.

i think NDLS-HWH whole section is already 130 kmph.
but NDLS-BCT is 130 kmph upto kota then kota to Vadodara its either 110 or 100 kmph because of curve.

Now rajdhani, shatabdi, duronto types LHB trains are running 130 kmph between BCT-NDLS route. I think BCT-VR speed is 105 kmph now. After the speed upgradation works will start then 160 kmph is possible for all LHB trains.

सभी प्रोजेक्ट पर तेजी से हो रहा अमल
इंदौर-मनमाड़ रेल लाइन,इंदौर-देवास-उज्जैन दोहरीकरण सहित चार प्रोजेक्टों के होने को लेकर स्थिति स्पष्ट हो गई है। इनके लिए केंद्र सरकार ने 21 हजार करोड़ मंजूर किए हैं। इंदौर-मनमाड़ प्रोजेक्ट के लिए सर्वे प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई है। वहीं फतेहाबाद-उज्जैन प्रोजेक्ट का काम 30 दिनों में शुरू हो जाएगा। अन्य दो प्रोजेक्ट के लिए भी रेलवे ने तैयारी कर ली है। इनकी लोकसभा स्पीकर सुमित्रा महाजन के निर्देश पर हर स्तर पर माॅनिटरिंग भी हो रही है।
ये काम भी होंगे
लेवल क्रॉसिंग 30 के स्थान पर अब रेलवे ओवरब्रिज।
बरलाई मांगलिया गांव लेवल क्रॉसिंग 45 के बजाय अब रेलवे ओवरब्रिज।
लक्ष्मीबाई नगर स्टेशन पर लेवल क्राॅसिंग 5 के जगह ओवरब्रिज।
रतलाम-खंडवा प्रोजेक्ट,राजेंद्र नगर यार्ड में लेवल क्राॅसिंग 254 एक्स की जगह आरओबी।
इंदौर-मनमाड़,इंदौर-जबलपुर नई रेल लाइन से लेकर अन्य प्रोजेक्ट पर भी तेजी से अमल हो रहा है। फतेहाबाद-उज्जैन ब्राॅड गेज का काम महीनेभर में शुरू होने की संभावना है। इंदाैर-देवास-उज्जैन दोहरीकरण का काम भी दो माह में चालू हो जाएगा।-नागेश नामजोशी,लोकसभा स्पीकर के प्रतिनिधि व रेलवे विशेषज्ञ
इंदौर-देवास-उज्जैन दोहरीकरण:60 दिन में शुरू होगा काम
79 किमी लंबी इंदौर-देवास-उज्जैन रेल लाइन का काम 60 दिन में शुरू हो जाएगा। इस रूट पर रोजाना 40 ट्रेनों का दबाव है। इसका खामियाजा यात्रियों को भुगतना पड़ता है। क्राॅसिंग के कारण कई ट्रेनें लंबे समय तक आउटर पर ही खड़ी रहती हैं। पहले इंदौर-देवास के बीच दोहरीकरण होगा। फिर देवास से उज्जैन के बीच। इससे कई समस्याएं खत्म हो जाएंगी। यात्रियों का समय भी बचेगा। प्रोजेक्ट पर 460 करोड़ रुपए खर्च होंगे।
इंदौर-जबलपुर नई रेल लाइन:10 माह में होगा मूल काम
इंदौर-जबलपुर के बीच नई रेल लाइन के लिए अगले माह सर्वे शुरू होगा। इस प्रोजेक्ट का मूल काम भी 10 माह में चालू हो जाएगा। इसकी कुल लागत 4320 करोड़ है। 342 किलोमीटर लंबी रेल लाइन की डिमांड तो काफी समय से थी,लेकिन इस बजट में इसकी मंजूरी मिली। इससे इंदौर-जबलपुर के बीच की दूरी भी घटेगी और कई नए रूट भी जुड़ जाएंगे।
फतेहाबाद-उज्जैन ब्राॅड गेज:इंदौर-उज्जैन की दूरी रह जाएगी 62 किमी
इस अहम प्रोजेक्ट पर सबसे पहले 30 दिन में काम शुरू होगा। इस पर 130 करोड़ खर्च होंगे। इसे लेकर लंबे समय से कवायद चल रही थी। यह इसलिए भी महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि इंदौर-उज्जैन के बीच की दूरी 79 किमी है,लेकिन फतेहाबाद-उज्जैन के बीच करीब 22 किमी में मीटर गेज लाइन है। इसे ब्राॅड गेज में बदलने से इंदौर-उज्जैन के बीच की दूरी घटकर 62 किमी रह जाएगी।
इंदौर-मनमाड़ रेल लाइन:14 हजार करोड़ रुपए से ज्यादा होंगे खर्च
रेल लाइन के लिए सर्वे प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई है,जो छह माह में यह पूरी होगी। सात से आठ माह में काम भी शुरू हो जाएगा। इस पर 14 हजार करोड़ से ज्यादा खर्च होंगे। इसके पूरा होने से इंदौर-मुंबई के बीच की दूरी 829 से घटकर 560 किमी हो जाएगी। फिलहाल इंदौर से मुंबई के लिए ट्रेन वड़ोदरा-सूरत होते हुए जाती है। 339 किमी लंबी लाइन डाली जाएगी। यह महू से सेंधवा,शीरपुर,धुलिया होते हुए मनमाड़ पहुंचेगी। इससे पीथमपुर के उद्योग भी निर्यात के लिए सीधा बंदरगाह से जुड़ जाएंगे।

Fatehabad-Ujjain #gc must be completed first. it will reduce some trafic on indore-dewas-ujjain route.
and then doubling of indore-dewas-ujjain must be done on priority basis to play more train on this route.
