Yes. 30556 was missing earlier. Now they have allotted it to RPM. So, with this RPM has 8 WAP7s in 305XX series. Regarding TATA, SER is getting more P7s and will get more in future. TATA's 30558 is not HOG capable. WAG9s will be given more to TATA due to its proximity to freight corridor.

Conventional coaches with CBC couplers aur LHB coaches me kya fark hai batana ?? Yehi Na ki LHB 160 PE run kar sakte hain par aap 160 ya 130 PE kahan run karwaoge IR network me jahan 90 % tracks dhang SE 110 fit bhi nahi hai.

Since you asked for difference, Gist of things.
1. Fully stainless steel body, less weight, lesser stress on the rails.
2. Coupling as you mentioned different (its not exactly same as CBC in ICF)
3. Fiat bogie, different kind of suspension, (LHB coaches have axle mounted suspension system whereas ICF coaches have dashpot type suspension system) reduces the standard oscillation we are so used
4. Wheel design LHB coaches have a shorter wheel base thus improved ability to negotiate curves at higher speeds.
5. Disc brakes against thread brake system in ICF.
6. LHB coaches requires less maintenance (intermediate hauling every 5 Lac kms, and periodic hauling every 10 Lac kms) whereas an ICF coach has a shorter maintenance schedule (intermediate hauling every 2 Lac kms and periodic hauling every 4 Lac kms)

Here is the answer
1) Can't IR make conventional coaches using stainless steel ?? If yes then what's the use LHB ?
2) Even if coupling is different but it's effect is still the same I.e coaches will not roll over each other in case of a mishap
3)In India as I already told that 90 % tracks aren't even properly 110 fit so
oscillation and all that is not something to worry about when train is running at just 100 kmph..LHBs should be used in train having MPS of 130 or above.
4)Even with LHB coaches trains are running at the same average speed as it ran with ICF coaches so that means that atcurves even LHB trains slow down.and the difference will be just that ICF train will run at a curve suppose at 40 kmph then LHB can do it at 50 kmph and as there is no tilting mechanism so speed at curves willnt affect the average speed of train by even a minute.
5)at a speed less than 110 kmph even conventional braking mechanism is efficient
6)that's right but still keeping the cost of LHBs in mind I will say that for an in debt organisation like IR it's better to use cheapaer technology..

The moment you are going to alter current ICF and manufacture stainless steel ICF the cost is going to any way increase, so your whole argument fall short there. Cost of LHB is not there because of the name LHB, its because of the input raw materials.
Have a simple question, for argument sake. just because your parents have to borrow money to educate you as well as make ends meet does that mean
they should have to provide you substandard education or no education and give you unhygenic food ? instead of providing you good food and education ?

Isn't RPM/ED (SR) short of e-locos ? at least that is the reason they cited for not moving many trains out of their existing diesel links in SRR-MAQ section? even to move 4 trains to electric link till MAQ they had to compromise and change link's of existing passenger on e-loco elsewhere to diesel.

There is AJJ locos for backup... especially the WAG5s and WAG7s,... but they are used rarely for passenger trains. ED has lot of WAP4 locos.

Not at all. SR homes the highest number of P4s in IR.RPM has got 58 WAP7s now and SR has frw WAP1s and WAM4s still working. Its just that they are planning for LSA. So it will take time for links to stabilise.

I was asking this based on what they released to press when they completed and inaugurated SRR-MAQ, The press release said they would need around 17 additional loco, and have requested railway board for more loco allocation.

Infact they removed existing e-loco links of passenger trains operating in TVC/Ernakulam side and SRR-Kannur when they shifted Ernad, Malabar, Mangalore SF Exp, Parasuram to e-loco.

This Friday again i would be taking 12601 from MAS to CLT, usually i do this very regularly minimum 2-3 times a month and for return on sunday i take the 12686. What i have noticed with 12686/12685 nowdays is that in addition to WAP4, it comes with WAP1 regularly and WAM4 at times, i believe it probably has to do with it being 22 coach LHB rake with lesser drag because of power being generated from EOG.
But have to agree even with a WAP1 link its able to maintain good speed of 110kmph (measured using GPS) and the max speed i have noticed for 12686 was sometime last year well before new time table came in, when it touched
116kmph - 118kmph in between shornur - palakkad effortlessly and used to peak 110 kmph in Calicut-Tirur, Tirur-Shornur stretch

To squeeze more juice out of passengers during summer 50% of the Tatkal has been converted to premium Tatkal in 3A and SL, in sleeper general quota has lost around 121 seats.
Original Tatkal quota :- 3A: 80
Now: Normal Tatkal: 40, Premium Tatkal: 40 (Confirmed - Tried booking, but off late IRCTC website is a torture, click now link gets enabled full 30-40 second after 10.00 by when half the tickets are gone)
Tatkal in Sleeper: 120 (i think this was original amount)
Now: Normal Tatkal: 121, Premium Tatkal: 121 (Need verification if premium Tatkal is working, since from app this didnt work, ended up booking normal tatkal from webpage)

since its a blame game thread based on regional identity than operational constraints and prioritizing development, my own list of issues.
1. SWR doesn't have a e-loco shed on its own, SR provide loco's from RPM, AJJ and ED regularly to SWR, so do other zones, Most trains within SR using old WAP1/WAMs and due to loco shortage also run sometime diesel under wire.
2. Wifi in in station, SWR has just 3 stations under its belt Hubbali, Mysore, Bangalore, SR has implemented Wifi in more than 15 location equally spread across the
zone, be it in Kerala or Karnataka which come under its purview, and wait they prioritized these places outside TN skipping major stations under its belt like Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Katpadi etc to name few of the major cities.
3. First non Shatabdi regular Superfast train with LHB coaches within zone ran to mangalore before running to places like Tiruchi or Madurai or Trivandrum
So How does the stations and lines within Tamilnadu which comes under SWR fare compared to stations under SR in Karnataka, electrified line branches out from Salem Magnesite Junction, towards Omalur junction (under SR) becomes single diesel once it enters SWR... it then goes via Dharmapuri (Does it have proper facilities for passengers ?? ) and Hosur (Does it have proper facilities for passengers and it supposed to be a suburb for bangalore ? so i expect decent facilities) and wait we are missing the direct train to state capital from these stations.

1. come and see the locos given by SR to bengaluru. all scraps from AJJ. no e-locos for many trains on the electrified route of ynk-gtl. but e-locos for many passengers in that katpadi-vm route.
2. wi-fi is provided to bigger station under a zone. SWR has just 3 major cities? it is also given at BGM, HPT also. wherever big city is there.
the section of TN under SWR - DPJ is a modest town.
AP under SWR is another town HUP. so no wi-fi. sr has many cities of 3 states under it, so..... many wi-fi.
3. hosur is not a suburb of bengaluru. get facts right ...... it is a town of the neighbouring state. dharmapuri and hosur have lots of trains routed through them from bengaluru. many of these trains go to other parts of TN like thiruchi, madurai, erode, cbe, nagercoil. also kerala kannur, ernakulam. only the train to chennai is missing. also a long distance passenger to karaikal. passengers, DEMUs, express trains are there in the route. electrified OHE is not the only criteria where connectivity is judged.
sr gets a lots of funds hence almost all section electrified. swr has no funds for doubling forget electrification.
1. like one member said above no politics to split a train takes place under SWR.
2. come back and talk when mangalore is renamed as mangaluru. when MAQ and MAJn are developed with decent PFs and lighting for the PFs.
3. the revenue that mangaluru generates is much much more that what dpj or hosur does. so SR electrified for the freight moolah not with altruism that you are crowing on and on....
4. if SR is so great where is the train from Mangaluru to state capital.
5. SR treats all equally ????? then how come so many years Kerala suffered with old coaches - hand me downs?????

AJJ has 5 WAM and 29 WAP1, so what are the loco links where the scrap SWR has been getting is used ? Even for recent CRS of electrified section to Ramanagaram - Yeliur a WAP7 was used RPM 30423. Hosur (just like in NCR region of Gurgaon, Noida) is a suburb for Bangalore you like it or not, since a lot of people who work in Bangalore/Electronic city do live there and some who live in bangalore work in hosur, and since the station does come under SWR why shouldn't the station be improved ? especially when u have congested one way roads across the city with huge traffic jams? also manufacturing industries in hosur is a good source of freight revenue waiting to be exploited.
wanted to type more, but then there is no point responding when first priority for someone in a sentence is station board name change than the proper lighting and platform. This would be my last response in this thread thank you everyone.

1. when basic amenities like PF and lighting at a major station is dismissed as inconsequential, then that shows how contemptuous the other has to others basic needs.
2. suburbs is a continuation of a city. here there are vast agricultural and barren land in between that place and the city. its not the same state or district to term as suburb. the people of TN come and work here in places you mentioned and return to hosur. you are painting a picture where humans have fled the city of bengaluru due to traffic and have taken refuge in hosur.... local people here continue to live here. the ones from TN dont get jobs there so you have many coming here.

3. as pointed earlier .. DEMUs ply. so many trains to TN and KL ply. Except the train to their capital.
hosur and dpj have many trains to interior TN except capital. how many trains ply to interior KA from mangaluru?
4. ..one swallow does not make a summer.... one wap7 for sleepkiller, crs is all one sees. most wap1, wam4 scraps of ajj are sent here to die.
