Other tickets u can book anytime but between 2330 hrs and 0030 hrs you can't book any tickets. the irctc server opens from 00:30 to 23:30. So you can do the earliest ticket at 12:30 pm. Driving 12357 is more challenging according to me as halt timing is more and MPS restricted to 110 only, and getting less priority than Rajdhani class in a route that is flooded with Rajdhanis and Durantos. I think that you are correct. This train has to cover the DKAE-GAYA-MGS Stretch which is infested by HWH/SDAH/BBS Rajdhanis, Durontos & other SF Trains. Then it slogs across the MGS-BSB Slow Line and further ahead is the stretch of BSB-SLN-LKO ruled by GHY Raj Exp via LKO. Then further comes the LKO-MB Stretch which still serves the GHY Raj via LKO-MB + the LKO-NDLS Duronto Exp. This train along with it's other sisters get some speed relief after MB ... right uptil ASR. ------------ PS : Just think about the condition of SDAH-ASR Jallianwalabagh Exp which has to traverse through the most congested DKAE-GAYA-CNB-DLI-UMB Route, infested by 6 Rajdhanis, 3 Durontos & many other SF Trains .... ;-p 2 posts are hidden. This means the travel time of this train (12357) can be reduced by may be another 1.5 hrs. since the train used to loose maximum time in this stretch.
