IRCTC has approved ur TDR but Railway didn't saying false case. possible reason may be TTE wouldn't hv marked you absent and sold the berth to sm1 else to make money. I have a lot of luggage so need a confirmed seat. cant even find availability in any other train. I booked a ticket yesterday with PNR: 854-9324954. This was an e-ticket. and after chart preparation the status was WL 32. So i believe the ticket gets cancelled automatically and i will get my refund in 3-4 days. I have generally observed that the status of ticket changes to can/mod after few hours of chart preparation. This time it has not happened and it is not showing anything in refunds section of IRCTC. I have normally received refund within a period of 7-10 days except in one instance when my TDR claim was rejected. But, can you tell in what scenario you have filed a TDR? i was nt aware that few trains from howrah bound for mumbai were running late because of naxal attacks that happened last year. I reached station and came to kno train is running late by about 8.30 hours. It was urgent for me to travel because of an exam and hence i traveled in another train and later filed a TDR giving reason as "Train late more than 3 hours and passenger didnt travel" . In your scenario, it was well intimated by the IR regarding the late running of the Railways. Your TDR would evaluated in terms of PASSENGER NOT TRAVELED. For this case, they need to verify the charts submitted by the TTE. Although, the delay for refund is more, surely, in these scenarios it will take more time. Drop an email to the CARE of irctc quoting the TDR file number and other relevant details. Just to add more --> "Train late more than 3 hours " would NOT be considered. i wrote an email to irctc. they just say it takes time and i need to wait. Current status of TDR is "Forwarded to Railway" You would get it and the delay is expected. Keep an eye on the TDR History and mail them at least once in 15 days. ok. will do that. thanks for info.
