I am coming from Guwahati to New Delhi via flight and then catch a train from NDLS to TPZ. I also want to carry 2 sealed bottles of alcohol. My airline has confirmed that I can carry the bottles in the flight as check-in luggage. Now I want to know weather I will be allowed to carry the bottles inside the NDLS station through X-ray scanner installed there? I think once inside the station, there should not be any problem inside the train (please correct me if I am wrong). I want to know the legal aspects.

I have booked a ticket vide PNR No:2233533247 'in tatkal quota from ANVT to KOJ for 26-03-2012 for two passengers in Train no: 12506. After booking 1 passenger is confirmed while the other is waitlisted 1. In the evening the availability shown in IRCTC in Tatkal quota in the same train was WL 10/WL 8.
Doesn't it mean that 2 people had already cancelled their ticket. Then how it come that my WL 1 has still not been confirmed??

mind you sir,you have to get a non boarding certificate from the tte on boardd in case he does not travel or else no refund...the certificate you have to send by post to irctc and also if possible send it via e-mail as a scanned copy to be doubly sure...file a tdr within prescribed time limits to get the refund...the refund will be full fare minus rs.20+irctc charge

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

-@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...
