Pardon me if I'm saying something offensive.
Earlier we used to pay to touts and that was illegal too. The money was anyways going from our wallet but was not reaching the right beneficiary. I kind of now like the idea of Indian Railways now. Why should the exchequer remain in loss when touts outside are making fortune out of it?

India is super cheap. If you don't agree refer to the logic of Demand-Supply pricing. Had this not been the case, the trains would have been running empty like it happens in US / Europe.
I guess Railway people are doing the right thing by introducing this premium service. At least now, I am saved from doing anything illegal (with less money going out of my wallet) Believe me, touts used to charge much more than the premium ticket fare.
Good job Indian Railways!!! Please bring more such innovations in Facilities and Services front too.

Sir, I agree with your point that Indian Railways has a moral obligation towards the general public. But owing to the moral obligation, neither Railways, nor the general public is getting benefit. It's the touts, who are making money.
With the dynamic fare scheme now, atleast Indian Railways is getting benefit. Something is better than nothing. Also, we the general public are now getting saved from indulging into something which is illegal.

I don't think Railway has to worry about pricing vs. demand - supply. You worry about prices, when your shop is not having customers. Here, Railways is getting overburdened with over-patronage. So, I totally want to support Indian Railways in this.
I think with the additional profit, Railways, will be able to improve upon Services and facilities.
