dear please go through his 2 point . he has mention before 24 hours (But failed to mention excluding day of Journey) and after 24 hours and what about a person who cancel a ticket "within" 24 hours that is also zero Refund. but here also there is other way to get refund. there is loophole in this . When a passenger have a confirm ticket and suppose he is not traveling and his ticket comes under within 24 hours category he should not cancel the ticket. What he should do is go to railway station on the day of journey and get a not traveling certificate from tte and come back and next day he can fill tdr online with this Not traveling certificate.

My Tatkal Ticket Journey Dated: 20 JAN - 10 am
I can cancel ticklet @ 8 am on 19 JAN!!!!
& according to u, i cant, cz excluding 20 JAN (Journey Date) & 24 hours, 19 JAN doesnt comes under 25% circle!!!

This did not work. As one of my passenger did not travel and have certificate before one year. Till date his refund is not transfered into my a/c.

Sir, railways have very smart accounts inspectors.if found any wrong ticket or refund the respective staff has to pay from his salary.TDR refunds record is everyone knows.

The Rly proses is like this(in cace of eTicket):
Passenger not turned up on board TTE writes on his chart NT(if he dose not, Nothing much can be done)
OnLine TDR filed,
IRCTC sends TDR to railways,
both end of railway confirms passenger journey status(Destination station has the real info)
on getting confirmed reply IRCTC refunds.

Kindly book ur ticket from Jhansi to Madgaon!!!
Later on, get the boarding point changed from Jhansi to Panvel from any PRS Counter, anytime before 24 hour schedule departure of this train (@Jhansi)

yes you can change it from PRS counter

PRS means Railway Counter, ,,Be sure, u can change it before 24 hours of departure (sch. jhansi)
Keep ur E-Tiket & ID Proof, for that purpose!!

if you change boarding while making tkt then the it will take the wl number from boarding point. Its better to book from where you get confirm tkt and then change boarding fromm window.

you cant book it because it comes jhansi on 1st day and your boarding point panvel comes on 2nd day.

If you want to board from Panvel then you are booking with totally wrong logic which will be expensive.
You should book from Itarsi to Madgaon. After Booking get change the boarding point to Panvle from any nearby reservation counter.
If you book from Jhasni one sleeper ticket will cost you 623 + Payment Gateway Charges
While if you book from Itarsi one sleeper ticket will cost you 546 + Paymenet Gateway Charges
So booking from Itarsi onwards you will save 77 Rs per passenger in case of sleeper.
