Received this VERY SAD NEWS in one of my RF WA groups.
"Just now got the Bad news that Mr. R. Muralidhar met with an accident yesterday in CBE and has passed away. May his soul attain salvation. RIP Murli Sir."
Now a gentleman bearing the same name and belonging to Chennai & later Coimbatore was a senior admin in IRI. I am not sure if the accident victim and that gentleman are one and the same.

Participated in a very successful & enjoyable IRFCA convention on 30th April/1st May at Siliguri, the Gateway to the North East. Appropriately the theme of the event was "ESHO SILIGURI". Quite a few old members of IRI were also there with me.
Off to home after 3 months. Gonna attend my cousins wedding. Taking The Secunderabad Rajdhani Express this time.

The Brahmaputra Mail was the LAST mail train to be introduced by IR, if I am not mistaken. But I vaguely remember reading somewhere that this has now been redesignated as an EXPRESS train. Can anyone please confirm ?
