Now ir is making it a passenger shatabdi.. Although people still board from phagwara and beas. I think making halt at rajpura is bad decision..its hardly 30 min from ambala. It isnt a bad decision, because Rajpura is the nearest main line station to Patiala (which also happens to be a princely town) has major patronage from and to delhi (via Rajpura). And also ppl of rajpura has been demanding stoppage of this shatabdi from long time since there is huge demand. As im from rajpura i always board this or kalka shatabdi from Ambala, which has always been a hassle for me. But noe im extremely happy from now i can board this shatabdi from rajpura itself. And i dont understand if distance and timing is the criteria then why phagwara has been a given a stoppage since its hardly 15-20 mins from ludhiana and jalandhar. In the same way, the other asr shatabdi has poor or no patronage... Read more... i agree with ur point about sirhind. But as far as phagwara is concerned,it has very good patronage.. Now after some tine pple will start demanding halt of rajdhani and garib rath too at stations like phagwara rajpura... Atleast spair these esteemed/prestigous trains.. Thats what im saying, you will have to give time to actually know if the stoppage is fruitful or not. I would want that Swarn Shatabdi's UMB stoppage should be removed since it already has two shatabdi's, one Jan Shatabdi and One garib rath serving the purpose, so why one more shatabdi. Plus i would want other asr shatabdi should change its stoppage from SIR to Khanna as khanna town is full of bustling businessmens and industrialists and it would definitely have better patronage than SIR. as per my experience hardly any one deboards at umb while it is gng to asr and also in return journey same scene can b observed. Sirhind is a useless halt on a result of the dirty politics. No point of adding khana as a halt. Plz dnt degrade the brand shatabdi.. after lalo prasad yadav's time ir is observing white elephants under shatabdi brand. Ludhiana-new delhi-moga jaipur agra fort. Click to open. Since IR has added Rajpura, the people of Kurukshetra, Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal will also demand a halt for this train. Shatabdi was made to connect to all major cities b/w origin and destination of the train and RAJPURA,is one of the most Important towns of Punjab,as it is one of Biggest Industrial Town of the State and connects Patiala and Bhatinda too And RAJPURA , is also known as "Gateway of Punjab" As i always demanded too a Shatabdi to Rajpura,as catching Shan-E-Punjab was difficult for me as coming by Bangalore Rajdhani thn catching SHAN E Punjab was risky so Swarna Shatabdi would now be a best option and even the evening Shatabdi should do the same then give a halt at panipat coz of the history..battle of panipat.imp city.. and kuruksherta due to the Mahabharat history.. Karnal b de do because thats kalpana chawla's home town.. Make it a passenger train. we often use this shatabdi to go and come from UMB . bt ambala doesnt have that much of quota i guess.. thats y people opt for klk shatabdi... if u want to reach before 10 am then this is the best option.. As all superfast train from jammu and amritsar has a scheduled halt at subzi mandi. Most on the gets vaccabt here and saves too much of time.. SFs and Shatabdis are completely different,halt will not get be provided.SZM is hardly 4 Kms from NDLS so can say completely ruled out.. distance doent matter but time does..i hav seen garib rath taking a halt at subzi mandi sometimes and have of the train gets vaccant.. Same is with kalka shatabdi.. 12030 reaches new delhi at 2305 and its take 10 min to take and exit and reach metro station/bus stand and this is the time when service is very limited and pple have to paid high amount to auto. At subzi mandi metro is 2 minutes away and pple living in rohini, janakpuri tilak nagar side will b benefited by the halt. Local Train bana dena chaiye sabko suvidha hgi.... Just make it passenger train!! it'll benefit everyone out there. Is it true? hopefully its true mumbai rajdhani as well as howrah rajdhani's 1 ac have television system yes i think lcd tv's were installed in this train in october 2010 since mumbai rajdhani is having rsa with august kranti so y august kranti is not having televisions? Then if add pc and 2 general coaches. It adds up to 26.. So is this train with maximum coaches?? All wrong information... ohh.. Even for punjab mail offical site it is showing 12ac coaches. Mostly on time and always overcrowded.. Out of all nr. Intercity it is very well maintained and clean through the season. Even ac coaches are very nice in it. REALLY ITS SHAN OF PUNJAB.. The great shane punjab.. and its economic too yep.. Also dli ptk express is very good..almost same at shane punjab.. Always on time or before time. Coaches are same as shane punjab. YES WE KNOW BUT do you know in our houses or office 1 work and 5 enjoy..but we hv more trains than theirs magar nature factors like fog snow to waha b parti h n still they are able to manage time schedule. if we use that policy in ir for mumbai rajdhani considering 7sec delay per year then the combined total of next 60years delay will sum up to 7 mins which is its current averagw delay period.. 7secs delay=1year 1sec delay=1/7year 7min=420secs 420secs delay=420/7=60years.. How great that scene will be...:p:p But Japanese trains use modern technology because of which they are able to maintain schedule. Click to open. Let me narrate an incident which happened in 1998. My wife's mother is Japanese. She committed suicide by jumping before a local train in Tokyo. According to JR laws the family has to pay some amount to JR for delaying trains. We ended up paying about $40000 for the incident. This is how dedicated the Railways are in Japan. Delays actually happen a lot in Hokkaido and Tohoku areas in the north during winter. Takes 15 min less the shatabdi.. but starts from nizamuddin i knw but shatabdi takes only 5 min to reach nzm.. If you add that point also then sbc rajdhani takes 10 mins less than shatabdi.. But sbc rajdhani has only 1 stop in between nzm bpl..
