Travel comfortably.Charger 2 nos are in working condition but always in use .So both end of the coach further 2 nos of charger points have to be provided in this long distance trains.
Cleanliness good .Especially at Erode Junction cleans well.
This ordinary Expresses have to be converted as S/F and operated via Guntakal to Kalluru by skipping Gooty Jn and Salem to Karur via Namakkal by skipping Erode Junction. This shortest route are saved by the distance of ( 18+38 ) 56 km and Loco reversal time 20 minutes at
So the running time of Mumbai-Nagercoil S/F exp may be saved around 4 to 5 hours and arrived Nagercoil around 10.30 to 11.30 pm instead of the present late night 3.25 am of the next day.
Similarly Nagercoil-Mumbai S/F Expresses arrived Mumbai CST around 16.00 to 17.00 ( 4.00 pm to 5 pm ) in the evening convenient time rather than the present at night 20.50 ( 8.50 pm )

Stop posting foolish. Are Erode passengers not humans to you?. First of all the train 16353 / 16354, 22497 / 22498, 14715 / 14716 must be divertd via KRR - ED - SA instead of KRR - NMKL - SA. Then only you will know the pain. Idiot.

This is the best train to travel from Delhi to Chennai and beyond to Coimbatore, if travelling in Sleeper Class. The time taken by this train is very less compared to other trains like GT Express and Tamil Nadu. Regarding Cleanliness we can say that if you have bucks you can prefer AC 3 Tier. But I travel to Coimbatore and this suits me best because you have next connection to Coimbatore in a very short time say 1hrs to 2 Hrs , namely Nilgiri Express and Cheran Express. But I do not suggest Nilagiri because if this train gets late then you have no choice but to go in Bus. So Cheran is best, You have 2 hours waiting time.
and my family used to travel in Kerala Express which was very exhaustive and the food served in Kerala was also not very hot. So for me no problem and what more you can expect in 1245 which includes the Meals and Bed Rolls. So if you are too hygienic conscience then you can book in AC 3 Tier or 2 Tier.

I have travelled in this train from SBC to ED. The SL coach was neat and without a single dangerous insect (except few mosquitoes). I have kepy 2 bags full of packed (not open) snacks item under the lower berth after confirming the cleanliness. After coming to home and when taking out the snacks, I have shocked that there is not even a single insect inside any snacks !!!. Really. I didn't remember which coach. It has arrived Erode on time because there is no crossing between DPJ and SA (except on Monday, Thursday and Friday where it has crossing only with the train 11022). The train 16236 has crossings with the trains 16231, 16235, 16528 (if 16236 does not arrive SA on time) and the train 11013 has crossings with 16231, 16235 and 16528 between DPJ and SA.
train 11013 will have crossing with the train 12258 only if its arrival at SA is late.
See the all station schedule.
The BJP govt during Vajpayee rule itself has promised the doubling of the SA - DPJ - HSRA - SBC route. But still no action.

The Railways have decided to reroute 22207/22208 Chennai–Thiruvananthapuram biweekly superfast air-conditioned expresses via Coimbatore-Podanur from April.
The days of service of the 22208 express has been changed from Saturday to Sunday.
Additional stoppages have been provided at Salem, Coimbatore, Palakkad, and Thrissur.
The changes have been effected as per the instructions issued by the Railway Board.
train was earlier introduced as Duronto Express between the State capital and Chennai.
It was later converted into an air-conditioned express with limited stops to overcome poor patronage.
The rerouting follows demands from Keralites in Coimbatore, a senior railway official said.
Train 22207 will leave Chennai Central at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6.45 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It will stop at Salem Junction (8.35 p.m.), Erode Junction (9.32 p.m.), Coimbatore Junction (11.08 p.m.), Palakkad Junction (00.15 midnight), Thrissur (1.23 a.m.), Ernakulam Junction (2.45 a.m.), Alappuzha (3.40 a.m.), and Kollam Junction (5.15 a.m.). Similarly, the 22208 express will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays to arrive at Chennai Central at 11.50 a.m. on Thursdays and Mondays.
It will stop at Kollam Junction (10.25 p.m.), Alappuzha (11.32 p.m.), Ernakulam Junction (00.50 midnight), Thrissur (2.05 a.m.), Palakkad Junction (3.15 a.m.), Coimbatore Junction (4.43 a.m.), Erode Junction (6.15 a.m.), Salem Junction (7.20 a.m.), and Jolarpettai (8.55 a.m.).
The service of April 20 will be the first one to run via Coimbatore with additional stoppages.
The service of April 22 will be the first service to run via Coimbatore with additional stoppages from Chennai.
The service of Train 22208 will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central on Sundays with effect from April 24. There will be no service of Train 22208 scheduled to leave from here on April 23. .

Bro I was travelling in Shatabti on March 20th..It was hauled by ED WAP4 22388. It ran like normal sf till Salem due to Kongu exp and salem pass. After that I made up its delay and crossed AJJ 15 mins ahead.
But still v could not overtake kovai and shatabti was waiting at Vyasarpadi for 15 mins and reached MAS with 10 mis delay.
Mas bound Kovai was also hauled by ED Monster.
