This is a junction to go to Sindri and also to go Asansol/Howrah?
Do the trains coming from Asansol and going to Sindri, take a reversal here or go to Dhanbad and from there they change their route?

There is no train going to Sindri from Asansol....all trains depart from DHanbad.....You can get down at pradhankunata and catch sindri train which comes from loopline via dhokra halt

yes. even if a train is coming from Asansol, it doesnt needs rake reversal, as there is loop line for diversion towards sindri.
Pradhankhunta has two sets of platform, one lies in grand chord section and other on Dhanbad-Sindri section

There is a loop line for trains coming from asansol side but that is only used by goods trains. If you want to go sindri then better catch sindri passenger from Dhanbad

The last year when i travelled by this train , it was hauled by a single alco from Patratu shed. Don't know about it's present loco link.

Travelled on 20th Feb, pretty good speed and reached on time, infact early by 5 mts.
The 2A coach was clean, the sheets given looked in good condition along with the quilt. The bathrooms need a little attention, maybe they could do away with having a 5-10 mts stop @ Gwalior for cleaning them.
Overall a satisfactory experience.

This train just doesn't seem to be improving in terms of schedule, whenever we check it is always late by atleast 2-3 hours. An important train which connects Bengal/Jharkhand with MP.
Can't understand when will this improve

How can it improve , if it doesn't have the scope for improvement ? Firstly its route is not good at all & secondly it's less priority. So many hurdles

Everytime I check the running status of this train, it is always atleast 2 hours late. God help the passengers of this. Am sure this train could have been made a very important train connecting the industrial towns of singrauli/obra etc with both jabalpur and calcutta either side. Sad that this train continues to be in a pathetic state

feedback from elders gives young impressionable minds 'no hurry no worry' attitude.
Thanks to Computers that 'Demand' Punctuality, else PRS will be torture place for passengers apart from "late reaching departing of trains'....
Projects are delayed costs are rising, people are suffering untold misery, progress is slowing down, all because of this sluggish attitude at most levels...
Even foreign investors are shying away from India due to this...
The height of it was when a Chinese delegation came to Mumbai on Govt invitation to help survey ease out the local train rush, and the IR zonal authorities were helpless when asked to stop/close the station for few hours
India is the land of believers... Tax payers money goes in drain for no fault of People...

Correction, tax payers money doesn't into the drains, it actually goes into pockets of the political retards of our country. Coming back to this, post Dhanbad this train actually becomes a pain to travel till Katni.The situation of this route has actually gone from bad to worse.Lord alone what/when will the DRM act on this.

I don't know what Mamta wants or she even understanads the Indian Economy but she has a pretty closed setup inside her mind. Even when the budget has been highlighted as a very 'nominal' hike in the fares she has been quick to denounce it and ask Mr Trivedi to vacate the office paving the way for her 'favourite', Mr Mukul Roy to be put in charge despite Mr Manmohan Singh having strict reservations about this man. God only knows what this man understands about the Indian Railways but I guess it's another step towards degredation of the Indian Railways portfolio. Way to go Mamta, first it was your Bengal syndrome during which the Railways underwent it's worst performance and now it's Mr Mukul Roy where I don't know on what level will Railways degrade further. God Bless this Railways Proftfolio ...
