Disappointing trip on board 12623
I traveled on 12623 from ERN to TVC on 24 Mar 2019 by 2-tier a/c. This was my first trip on 12623 after its conversion to an LHB rake, but my experience was disappointing in general.
The most irritating part of the journey was the *constant* jerks each time the train accelerated or braked. Although the a/c 2-tier coach was at the end of the train (at #20th), the jerks were extremely annoying and disruptive to anyone trying to sleep. I'm surprised that Indian Railways has been unable...

to solve this problem (certainly not an issue in most other trains).
There were also numerous minor annoyances: curtains that are stuck and cannot cover windows, over-engineered toilets, flushes that are so feeble that they don't flush anything, seat backs (the lower berth that is put up as back rest while seated) that are loose and keep knocking against one's back, and more...
On the positive side, the a/c was working fine, the coach was clean and the large windows provided an excellent view.
I had boarded this train with great expectations, but sadly, they have been belied.

The renovated bridge on the newly gauge-converted SCT-PUU section has become something of a tourist attraction. Since there are still only a handful of trains through this route, the general public is visiting the bridge in large numbers.
The railway line here follows the contours of the river and the road, and was originally built by the British on the SCT-QLN narrow gauge line. The line was closed for a long time until it opened recently (initially the QLN-PUU line was opened for traffic, followed by PUU-SCT).
