They never checked how the ticket was booked and who booked etc etc.... (atleast in bengaluru airport), But it is always safe to have one..

Thanks for the information Shashank. Do you the trains to which I can load? I am planning to take the vehicle, load it and travel in same train and take it back in mysuru. I had done it before (i think) with Chamundi, but wanted to check with some morning trains.

You can opt service like Passenger train or Express. Infact I sent a bike like 3 months before to a place called Raipur, I had only one option i.e., Wainganga SF.
I can say one thing that, Book your bike for specified train, Travel in that, @ Mysore, Handover the Slip to the RPF and take ur bike out of station.

Empty the Petrol Completely.
Take it to parcel service which is close to the Main Entrance of City Rly station.
Book the bike by paying the charges. ( Little bit of extra charges also will be asked for unfortunately.) Take the receipt collect it from the parcel office in Mysore Railway station. ( A little unofficial charges here as well). Do not delayn taking delivery from mysore. They will charge you for delaying on a daily basis.

The officer at the parcel office told me that, we can carry two wheeler only on the following trains.
16231 - Mayiladuturai Mysore Express @ 6:00AM
56214 - Tirupati Chamarajanagara Fast Passenger @ 7:30AM
56230 - Bangalore Mysore Passenger @ 4:25PM
He also told that, carrying on Chamundi Express is not possible as the the parcel office will close at around 8PM in Mysore Station and there will not be anybody to receive the good in there.

just book properly packed and forget take at your destination why to count gutli than eating mangoes,it is rly headache to send on any train any route.in any way you hv to load without petrol and after taking at destination you hv to go market and get petrol to move from rly st to your place,so coolly book

Yes agree, but I find it convenient to go to station riding the bike, load it, travel along with it in same train, take it back at the station. There is a petrol bunk very near to the railway station in mysore, so with the little petrol left in the tank, I can ride it (else push it) to the bunk, fill it up and go home. I find it very Continent. This way I can keep an eye on my bike while loading and unloading the bike and make sure that there is not damage done. :)
I usually don't do any packaging as it is just three hour and the luggage van will be usually empty between bengaluru and mysuru. :)

Yes, you are right. You will be surely be approached by 2-3 guys who say they will help us in packing and booking.. Most of the times, I have ended up paying 20-50rs for these guys who carry the bike and load it. I don't think they are from railways, but parcel officers ask them to do the needful.

Not sure if it applies here or not but yeah, on Sundays PRS closes at 2 so I've seen charts of some trains getting prepared early.

Yeah that's the rule. But practically it varies between 2-4 hours from train to train.
