thanks for the info. this particular situation that you are quoting i have experienced several times (sbc rajdhani nzm-jhs-sbc). but i feel the current situation is very different. in the nzm-jhs case we do not indicate AT THE TIME OF BOOKING about the change of boarding (we book a normal nzm-sbc, or nzm-dmm in your case, ticket and later change the boarding to jhs). however, in this current case, we have indicated the boarding station AT THE VERY TIME OF BOOKING. so my question is - when the indian railway knows that i would not be allowed to board the train before dmm, why is it making a ticket from ypr-dmm-sc AT ALL???? Please can anybody answer this question?
