Senior Citizen Concession and Lower Berth/Senior Citizen Quota are two different things. Kindly do not mix them up. When you select the tick box at IRCTC for Senior Citizen, it means you want to avail the Concession eligible for the concerned person. To be eligible for Lower Berth Quota, the Senior Citizen (Male>60 Years) and/or (Female>45 Years) must travel alone; i.e; One Passenger against a single ticket. ## At the same time if the person (Male>60 Years) and/or (Female>58 Years) he/she would also be eligible for 40% and 50% concession respectively. 1 posts are hidden.
