Dear Admins..
I wish these features to be implemented on this site. These are following..
1) The Station Arrivals/Departures page should have an additional column "show with passing by trains" which would redirect to a page where both stopping and skipping trains are shown streamlined. This is similar to your already existing feature in Train time table in which we have an option "show all intermediate stations"
...
more... Such an option would help in calculating the practical arrival time of a train at a station where some delayed VIP trains are yet to supersede a train which is running ahead of these but usually comes after the crossing of said VIP,non stopping trains.
2) The old version of official train enquiry site is no more..this offered station arrivals/departures in a time frame (up to 24 hours) desired by user but this feature is still missing in our site. Please see if it is possible to adopt the same format in our site so that the shut down of old site could be compensated.
3) The station arrivals/departures are showing some trains which are already passed from that station, this happens with the desktop version only.. I think its a known issue to your team. Please fix it if possible.
4) As the mobile version of this site is not at par with the desktop site, an option should be given to switch between these versions. It will be beneficial for users with a good mobile browser or a Tablet or iPad.
5) If I am not wrong, you are gathering the the train running info from "Railradar" which is updated in 5 minutes interval..why dont you collect the same from www.railenquiry.in (I dont know how this site gets the data in seconds). I am an Enquiry Clerk in Indian Railways by profession and despite a government provided terminal, I use indiarailinfo and railenquiry.in for discharging my duties and I have noticed that the figures in railenquiry.in are 100% real.
6) In case of reservations, you will see that sometimes a train may have Quotas from roadside stations as well..this makes the difference in waiting list number and the chances of confirmation from different stations of that train. Is this possible to to indicate these Roadside Quotas in the Train Profile..?? If yes then It would help a lot to some serious journey planners..
7) We are already displaying time and date in our homepage (no matter what may be the time zone of the user) The last known location of the train may be expressed in this format " Crossed XXXX at YY:ZZ hrs (NN minutes ago)". This is required because sometimes the running status of train may not update due to some technical issues in the Railway End and this can be detected if the last location is shown in this format where lesser number of "minutes ago" will prove it a much reliable status.
Hope
