Hon Railway Minister
For this budget my recommendation as below:
1.Please provide good amount of funds to keep clean the trains inside and in the station, so that people can travel in indian railways as safe by health wise and. hygine.
2. Please make good strict rules for not allowing unreserved passenger getting into the reserved compartment.
Please allow Duronto to stops in some major stations as it will benefit other passenger who dont travel from point A to B.
4. Please improve the catering service in all trains and do make surprise checks by the official to continue the licenses.
5. Please provide better service to the people who pays good value of money of your higher class of ticket.
6. Please allows your commuters to contact directly you via email or post to convey the irregularities we face during the travel, as those will be not been known by you. It will help you to improve the image and irregularities of those zones.
Hope this small request will be noticed and do the necessary arrangement.

1. Should keep trains and stations clean
2. Should introduce more trains on busy routes(This should be done without political intervention)
3. Give equal importance to all states while allocating trains
4. Make reservation more accessable(people should be able to book tatkal/normal tickets on IRCTC at 8:00 AM)
Should not encourage touts to book tickets and sell to people for double the actual price
6. Introduce Night Trains as well as Day trains for Long and short journeys

1.Better to collect extra 5 rupees on reserved tickets to cleaning by private staff.
2.Collect minor fine from unreserved passengers, who enters in the sleeper class coach.. collect heavy fine if they occupy/forced share of the reserved seat without permission from the owner of the reserved seat.
3. Yes some stops at big junctions/stations with ~ 500 km interval may be good.
4.Revolution on
catering has to come from passengers, if they bring own food them self this catering department will gets closed.
5.Coach attendant/security guard/inspector has to visit in all coaches for every 30 min.It may be good if TTE takes additional responsibility on this, since TTE interaction with passengers solves the problem well.
6.It will be good if the Interested IR officials regularly use this site.

i saw one time in nagpur some guys came with the mobile coffee machine and made coffee, but surprise those also are not upto the mark, all with water. i saw one redimade coffee packet from singapore name YEE YEE, tear the packet and add to the hot water and stir and your nice coffee is ready to serve. Sugar, Milk and other ingredients are add in the powder.

Increase the Price of 3AC, 2AC and 1AC as these are easily afforable to the people now a days, but has to improve the service corresponding to the rise in price.
Increase the Platform ticket to Rs.30.00 per ticket and if caught red handed has to pay 1000.00 as fine or 2month imprisonment.
Cancellation of Ticket should be in slab basis, as mentioned below:
ticket is cancelled with in 60days of booking will be charged 30% of ticket if value.
If ticket is cancelled with in 30days of booking will be charged 60% of ticket if value.
If ticket is cancelled with in 10days of booking will be charged 90% of ticket if value.
If ticket is cancelled after train depature will full value of ticket.
If this system is implemented i assure the black marketing and holding tickets system by passenger and agents will reduced drastically and tickets will be available in all trains.

As part of a study on the impact of Konkan Railway on Industrial Development, I was going through a detailed report on the Konkan Railway Project which came as a supplement with The Eco. Times, Madras dtd. 3rd. Octber, 1994. It then occured to me that there is an interesting issue which many of our railway fans / users might not have observed.
The actual railway project alignment connecting Roha and Mangalore is 760 kms., whereas in the Time Table the distance is inflated, viz. 1060 kms from Roha to Mangalore.
Obviously, this enhanced distance is for the computation of the fare, viz., chargeable kms. Even years back, for Hill railways, the Railway used to maintain two types of distances, -- Actual distances and Chargeable distances. Even in the
Southern Railway Tme Table, of April, 1968 for the Mettupalaiyam-- Ootacamund section, both the distances are indicated in the timing section, Actual kms. 46 kms./ Chargeable kms. 118 kms. Apparently this practice has been discontinued for quite sometime now.
As a holder of the KRCL 10 year bonds in the '90s, I used to get a lot of updates from KRCL. Their stated objective was to reduce the distance from Bombay to Mangalore to 914 kms.
Because of project slippage and cost overruns, KRC obviously decided to keep a higher fare to generate higher revenues and eventually increase its Return On INvestment. (ROI). I think nobody would complain about this. But there could have been more transparency by indicating both the actual as well as chargeable kms.
Considering the strategic benefits of the project, users would only be happy to pay more for substantial tangible user benefits.
The problem is, this type of presentation would give an inflated average speed of the train which iis an illusion and quite misleading.
Even simple comparisons can bring out this factor. The Time Table indicates a distance of 81 kms from Mangalore Central to Udipi. The track virtually runs parallel to the National Highway. By road the distance from Mangalore to Udipi is about 64 kms!

i travelled in kerala express in ac 2tire a2 compartment on 3rd jan with family from nagapur to tvm.
it was the worst experience and felt so bad to see the condition of indian railway service and status.
firstly the ac2 compartment was the old one with no proper sitting system. surpirse to see that 3rd ac compartment was the new one. felt why we paid for 2ac. the toilet was horrible, looks never clean when it reached nagpur, flush was not working in both the toilet. cleaning guys came in vijayawada. that
too they didnt get time to clean as time was less for them. i suffer from urine infection still due to the use age of those toilet my doctor advised.
the most horrible case was the bed sheet, pillow and blanket given was not cleaned for months can see the dirt and it was mud color not white.
if we look at the record of the better and safer service in railway was under two railway minister terms 1.nitish kumar and laloo tenure.
at that time i remember we use to get the bed sheet and other things covered in paper packing the it was pure white in color and cleaning of station and trains were upto dated and well maintained.
we need good minister in center who look into these matters and officer follows due to the fear of punishement.
i hope this will open the eyes of the concern authorities.

thanks for starting the forum. This train has become like Passenger Train in all aspects. One thing sure i will never travel in this unless i get feed back of any development. I remember it was the best train and it was pride for malayalees

since most of the 3ac coaches are new one u can get better comfort in ac3 and now they have curtain to add ur pleasure so go for it in future if u get reservation.

we will really happy if IR run the trains with 150 to 200km per hour @ consistant speed with the existing infrastructure by improving little bit strength. If we go for bullet train ordinary human may not able to catch high fares.
May be some solutions are there to provide less timed travel like ..
Bhopal should be the capital and grate industrial city of INDIA, geographically it is
to all metro cities.

Last I read was about our ex minister or IR Mr.Lalooji, who had visited Japan, with entourage of officials, (and others) to study bullet train performance. So I presume that his predecessors must have visited other countries too, for study of trains, for bettering IR services.
