I have gone through many of it. Specially GMO, HWH, BRC and CLW are really masterpieces. From the core of my heart I salute those Engineers(GP 140 Project of 3-Phase Locos) doing a Lot for 3-Phase Loco in IR whose photographs you have shared in your GMO Trip Report with the 1st WAG-9 pic I think(ABB Livery). Excellent it is. It is beyond any doubt that these Trip Report of yours made me really passionate about 3-Phase Locomotives and 3-Phase Technology. GMO ------ A Den of WAG-9 with advanced maintenance facilities of 3-Phasers like TATA in SER. Hope in future we will see WAP-7 again in GMO.(All GMO WAP-7 is now Transferred to HWH).

This guy is a "REAL ASSET" for our Family.
Specially regarding the Electrical Rolling Stock.
His Trip reports at CLW, BRC , GMO & HWH ELS and now ICF all are a "Mine of Valuable Informations".
I hope Sundar will guide our family with all his valuable contribution in future also.

CLW has already announced that they will switch over to the production of 3-Phasers permanently in their Official website. WAG-7 production has already been stopped by them. 3 more WAP-4 is yet to be turned out from CLW vide Loco numbers: 25048,25050 and 25051. I think 25051 will be the last Conventional Loco to be turned out from CLW after which "The Historic Transition" will be made Officially at CLW and they will stop the Production of all Conventional Loco Permanently.
Eagerly wait for the Historic Moment, hope it will happen before 31.12.2015(Thursday)

Excellent trip report! I've been here myself. Had a great experience. Still wondering why IR is still using coil suspensions at the secondary stage for LHB coaches with FIAT bogies. Only Double Deckers have FIAT bogies and pneumatic suspensions both!

Tractive Effort is also known as "Braking Effort", I think.
Yes correct when deceleration is done then it is called braking effort. Here "Regenerative Brake" is denoted as the braking effort.

I am a "Great Fan" of 3 Phase Locomotive and posted many blogs regarding 3 Phase Locomotive.Try to know each and every detail of 3 Phasers.
Will CLW increase production of 3 Phase Locomotive in future and reduce gradually the production of Conventional Locos in future?(Seen under the head of New Projects in CLW Official Website...
Regarding CLW you may see my two of these visits out of three. You may find some information. Regarding SER i do not have any idea. As per my knowledge and also my visit to SRC ELS, the shed needs to be renovated and upgraded for 3 phase maintenance.
And yes after the codal life of M4 ends it will be withdrawn.

Many thanks for this very useful info and the links you have provided is also very good and informative.
I heard that a training regarding 3 Phaser is going on SRC ELS but no official proof is yet been seen. Regarding this issue I personally emailed GM and COM of SER and enquire about the reason of not using 3 Phaser in SER though they still not give the reply of my e-mail.
Also made an e-mail to DRM SDAH copy to GM ER to withdraw 3 Phase Loco from the charge of...

Taking a glance at the "Premium AC Express Section "(Yet to be introduced)in recent timetable(September 2014 edition) I think IR should provide a "Premium AC Express with LHB Coaches" to cater to the demand of Gujrat bound passengers from Howrah in a less amount of time than the existing SF expresses. Because prevalent Superfast trains in this route have taken a great deal of time due to plethora of stoppages these train have between HWH and ADI(both in Up and Down Trips).
