North India or North Bengal train can ply from Shalimar via Bhattanagar, Dankuni Route. It is shortest route than Kharagpur-Adra. Stoppage at Dankuni would solve of passengers who like to board at Howrah because Dankuni is 15 km from Howrah. Even Kolkata passenger can avail easily via Sealdah - Dankuni section. IR should think this substitute link so that Howrah stn can get relief from traffic

Dankuni Terminal would be better as Dumdum is 14 km 300 mt, Howrah is 15 km, Sealdah is 22 Km, Bally is 6 Km. By the Expressway Airport is only 18 km. Satragachi is 14 km via Bhattanagar. Passengers would feel better.

yup...that only needs a infra development at Dankuni.Making bus terminal,developing apparoach road to NH-2/6 and developing terminal facilities at Station.Needs collaborated effort on the part of Railways,state govt and other stake holders.

Not crash but bone of contention because Forest Dept feared that The Rail would run over Elephant of Mahananda sanctuary. Presently problem solved, yet to start. Last year Rail planned to lay track via Damdim, Gorubathan, Lava, Kalimpong route. Rishyap, Kupup , Zuluk is very scenic beauty & near to Lava.

see express highways roads are laid once but we r paying tolls till now. and cost of transport is large compare to savings we got. Railway can be with govt. governance can be changed.

Bhai kuch log ye jhuti afwah uda rahe hain ki privatisation se aam aadmi ko nuksan hoga...par sach to ye hai ki privatisation se passengers ka bahut fayda hoga...like in aviation sector...jahan par government companies like indian airlines ka fare private airlines companies se kafi zyada hai phir bhi suvidha kam hai..privatisation se sirf unko problem hai jo bina kaam ke salary uthana chahte hain ya muft me travel karna chahte hain...

Privatisation is the only way to save railway..after privatisation there will be competition among different companies and hence fare will also decrease..they will increase passengers amenities by decreasing employees facilities and aminities...
