Hi Folks, I see that many people till date travel with printouts for e-tickets. I explained one of my friends about sms ticket when I saw him carrying printouts of his next journey. ## Can we spread the word little more that SMS tickets are very much valid along with ID and we DO NOT NEED A PRINTOUT in case of e-tickets. Yes. A good idea. For some old habits die hard ie they have never traveled. without a piece of paper/cardboard. Also there maybe cases where people have to put in a claim from their offices for the value of the ticket. The audit people may require a ticket Claim is alright. You do not need it otherwise !! I agree. We can show them the relevant document proving that SMS is valid.yes a good idea...but probably people of yesteryear or old people want to travel with e ticket..they need some proof of ticket ya..we can just show our SMS to TTE..no need for Printout...But who book their ticket with their own ID only will receive SMS..others booking through any travel agency/IRCTC agent will not get SMS...
