its still impossible to book a tatkal e-ticket ....either the bank transaction wont happen...or service will be unavailable...search will go on till eternity..bank wont respond...u can only be a mere spectator

i use hdfc for transaction but the site just stop due to one reason or the other ...yesterday hdfc wasn't opening at all
yeah ..agreed.they do nothng...just two days back...tatkal was easy :-)
this has nothing to do with server..it has all to do with so called "SERVANTS"

i am amazed to see people recommending on banking part...i have worked on top connections with high typing speed coupled with complete info...there have been times when the page will take minutes to show SERVICE IS AVAILABLE...list of trains comes after 13-15 minutes of tatkal timing start...entry form would never come....the page vanishes as soon as u write on plan my travel....we are being fooled by authorities

Booked a tatkal ticket successfully. IRCTC site is working very good now, no hurdle smooth running, a bit slow but in tatkal hours really fast then previous. Nice Improvement :D

EVERYBODY KNOW SUCH THINGS....the failure to book tatkal ticket is man made...not a outcome of ill information

why would anybody cancel a tatkal ticket when no refund is allowed?...

thats fine...but why would a i-ticket holder stand in a 1 hr que and get it cancelled...also remember many old age person and women also book i-tkt....this is beyond understanding..atleast they should return 20%
Traveled a few days back from Bangalore to Ranchi. Though the train is good, finding reservation is one hell of a task. Had to travel in Sleeper till Vijaywada, stand and travel till Vizag and then got seats in 3A from Vijaynagram to Ranchi, which was such a relief.
I simply cannot understand so less tickets for people taking the whole journey, while relatively more tickets for people taking mini journeys e.g. Blore to Vizag/Vijaywada and similar.
Food is decent. AC Works. Runs on time.
