I went 23 hours later to cancel the tickets but was told the window for cancellation is 12 hours after the schedule departure. How does the procedure now work will I get my refund. Thank You You have to obtain ticket deposit receipt (tdr) from Ticket Collector Office or Station Master of concerned station and apply for refund to the chief commercial manager (Refunds) of the concerned railway by attaching tdr along with application. Thank you, just another clarification how much amount will be deducted, booked for 2 AC for 5 June if u file a tdr now,i guess you will get no refunds...u have crossed the maximum time limits for cancellation or filing of tdr...but i am not sure.... You should make best efforts to get the refund across counter. For which you can approach the Deputy Station Superintendent (Commercial)/Station Manager or Chief Reservation Supervisor of nominated stations. They are authorized to grant refunds on tickets issued from their stations by condoning the delay in surrendering the tickets for cancellation. You must also satisfy the Station Manager that your ticket is not used and was not aware of the time limit. If you do not succeed in getting refund over counter then request for issuance of TDR. Sorry, since your ticket was WL and not RAC .. you will be issued Regret Letter and not TDR.
