Looks like I will once again get the privilege of travelling in antique 2A coach of this train again in July. No hope/news yet for new rake :-(

Probably that might help, but still more important than getting LHB coach is that this train should be extended to Katra as soon as track between Udhampur and katra is started.

Check the speed between kanpur and fatehpur, it covered 77.6 km in 4 minutes, a handsome speed of 1164 kmph. This is faster than the computed speeds of tamilnadu, ksk etc via trainenquiry on bpl to jhs and jhs to ndls sections.

Need one clarity,

I have one ticket of 2 pax, where by HO one pax got confirmed berth where as other one got RAC on charting. Now when I file TDR how much refund is permissible? I have not travelled on this ticket.

I am not sure of this but if in a party ticket all passengers are not confirmed and whole ticket is cancelled then only clerical charges should be deducted, right.

Additionally I had filed a TDR under similar conditions 3 months ago in oct 2012, where in a 2 pax ticket one was confirmed via HO and other remained in WL, I got full refund minus Rs 21 per pax. Class was 3A in same train.

I am pretty sure of scenario 3 months ago, only difference is that at that time one pax was confirmed and other was in WL, now one pax is confirmed and other in RAC.

As per my understanding RAC and WL should have been counted in same bucket but looks like here the case is not so. See the attachment

Thanks, I will do that. Additionally I have triggered one of my Juniors working as Senior DCM to get me the correct rule that I can throw on IRCTC people :-)
