A new Humsafar train scheduled to run between Chennai Central-Ahmedabad is introduced which passes through Vasai Road, Diva, Panvel(Stop), Karjat and Pune. The Central Railway Authorities are very much fond of Chennai bound travellers. They are not recognizing the Andhra bound travellers. With great difficulty two trains are introduced in the last two years bound for Visakhapatnam and Kakinada Port from LTT (Mumbai). One train can be diverted preferably Train Nos.17221 & 17222 via Panvel for the passengers bound for Navi Mumbai mostly residing in the region between Panvel & Vashi. This issue has been raised long back in this forum by me when the new track between Karjat and Panvel is opened. Recently more trains are introduced by Central Railway passing through Panvel. Why not one train meant for Andhra Pradesh passengers is run via panvel without much difficulty since Lonvala to LTT there is not stop for this train....

There is no difference in fare.
1st ticket is for one person
2nd is for 2 persons.
Some amount like clerkage charges are for ticket and not for number of person. Hence you are finding the difference.

A very wise suggestion to be observed by the concerned authorities who have closed their eyes and ears in introducing the AP Express from Capital Vijayawada, like Tamilnadu Exp from Capital Chennai , Telangana Exp from Capital Hyderabad, Karnataka from Capital Bengaluru. In case the suggestion is implemented, the other two regions viz. North Andhra, Rayalaseema besides coastal andhra will also be covered. Hope the best.

its going via nalgonda not nandyal
This is a special train but announced as inaugural run. Is there any guarantee that this train will run as announced in the near future. The railway authorities may consider to run this train when introduced to cover Guntur, Nandyal, Guntakal, Raichur and Wadi to meet the demand of the travelling public particularly the farming community migrated from Godavari and Krishna Region to Thungabhadra project area.

I travelled by 18519 on 9th Jan 2013 from BZA to LTT. The train was dumped in a siding at Bablad for about one hour. At that time 5 trains were passed on either direction from that station for the best reasons known to the railway administration. Does the administration think that the commuters of this train are not paying the demanded fare or not to be considered as passengers. Why this callous approach. Is it the punctuality maintained by railways.
Indian Railways supposed to implement three language formula for national integration. But the administration observe this policy more in breach than in deed. Particularly the trains covering more than one state should exhibit the name boards on rakes in tune with the coverage. The zonal railways specifically arrange boards representing the state in which they are located Albeit the train runs maximum part in a state, the name boards do not find a place with the language of that state. For example the Konark Express (11019/11020) running between CSTM and Bubaneswar covers Maharashtra(500 Kms), Karnataka (150 Kms), Andhra (1120 Kms) and Odisha (160 Kms). The figures revels 2/3rd distance is in Andhra only. But the trains carries hardly Telugu boards for the guidance of travellers. Why this callous approach.
As per the update on Jul 17 under Rail news-new trains, the train No.18519 is shown as bi-weekly train with new timings. Why this ambiguity.

It is a ECOR train.
The new train No.18519 announced in the current budget to run daily between Visakhapatnam and Mumbai LTT, I hope, will run from Sept.10 without any hitch since the Machilipatnam-Mumbai train as announced by the then Rly. Minister Mr. Lalu Prasad, has not yet commenced its journey till to=day and constrained to comment that the Railway Board or authorities at the helm of affairs are conferring the announcements in Parliament as faux pas.
The Railway administration needs to be considered the following suggestions for the convenience of travelling public.
The terminus may be...

panvel station is easily accessible? have you really been there? or are you saying this since you live closer to panvel.
connectivity to ltt is a problem I agree if you are coming from the western suburbs. however some of it will be eased once the santa cruz chembur link road is opened. also, it will cost much lesser to build a few roads leading to ltt from the eastern highway rather than building a whole new terminal at panvel.
Moreover Panvel is almost 60 kms from Mumbai by road. add to...

You are exactly opposite.PNVL is accessible only from Central and South Mumbai.Thane, kalyan and beyond kalyan will have to go through "hell" to go to PNVL. Instead LTT is easily accessible with respect to Panvel. Moreover,KYN halt is there so no worries.PNVL is not suitable as terminal station. It will also not feasible to run on KJT-PNVL-DIVA-LTT line.
I am a resident of Vijayawada in A.P. Often I visit Mumbai to see my children at Panvel. I have experienced the hardships at LTT at present. I prefer Karjat to board the train instead of LTT due to traffic bottle neck. I am not aware of the future developments as enumerated and how the instant problem will be solved after developments needs to be examined. In a stratigic junction, terminus is arranged in the outskirts of the city. Likewise Bandra, Ltt are arranged, why not Panvel. For growing cities, it is essential taking consideration of the situation.
When the Manmad-Pune Exp train is running on Kalyan-Panvel-Karjat-Pune route, why not this train provided the other factors are feasible. Positive thinking is anticipated for Panvel terminus for the benefit of south bound travellers to and from Navi Mumbai.

The New Train No.17221/17222 announced in the budget was updated on 6th July indicating date of introduction will be notified later. But in this portal, notified as TRAIN IS CANCELLED. In such case, the cancellation reflects on the budget announcement. If so, I am constrained to conclude that the executive authorities are exercising super natural powers over the Hon'ble Minister for Railways vis-a-vis Parliament on the issue which is rediculous. Yhe ultimate suferers are public of this region.
Being a Senior Citizen, I tried to reserve a ticket from CSTM to BZA in 11019 Konark Express, when there is a waiting list. Surprisingly I got a confirmed ticket under Senior Citizen quota. The same procedure needs to be practiced by other zones like Central Railway for the benefit of Senior Citizens.

This facility is available in all zones sir.A majority of trains do have the SCTZN quota and this quota can be used irrespective of the zone to which the train belongs to.
