Your suggestion of extending Puducherry - Tirupathi & Mannargudi -Tirupathi express trains to Vijayawada is good.In this I wish add my opinion to extend them beyond Vijayawada. For the first one to kakinada and the second one to Visakhapatnam since it is a long request of Yenam people to have direct link to their Union territory capital of Pondicherry. Then secondly, Mannargudi & Visakhapatnam have unique features of having Fertilizer factories namely Pamani & Coromandal Grover & it will helpful to them in transferring & exchanging their raw materials for their manufacturing.

If this train is extended upto Guruvayur and made to run between Byndoor & Guruvayur stations, It will pave the way for connecting both Krishna Shrine towns and surely get much popularity among the pilgrims too, of those who wishes to visit both Krishna temples together in a single journey without any changeovers at any stations in between.Concerned railway authorities should make note of my plea and give due consideration to my humble request and I wish to say that it was suggested by me earlier also in one of my postings.

************ Famous Temple Town of South India and a famous travelling spot for pilgrimage situated just 11 km away from Kanyakumari(Cape Comorin)*************
In this blog I am describing the detailed account of Suchindram which is a panchayat town in Kanniyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu with Indian postal code as 629704. It is an important pilgrim centre and the site of the famous Thanumalayan Temple. Suchindram is famous to the tourists for Suchindram Temple which is a famous place of Pilgrimage to the tourists of not only this country but also to the foreigners. For this reason this blog is posted under the Category "General Travel" and also linked with the station "Nagercoil" which is just about

7 km from Suchindram and the nearest Railway Station of Suchindram.
Location:
Suchindram is about 11 km from Kanyakumari and about 7 km from Nagarcoil lying between these two towns. Busses ply from Thirunelveli, Kanyakumari and Trivandram. The nearest railway station is Nagarcoil on the Trivandrum - Kanyakumari section of the Southern Railway.Suchindram has an average elevation of 19 metres (62 feet). Suchindram is a temple town situated in the southern most district of Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu State, India. It is 11 km from Kanyakumari city and 7 km from Nagarcoil town 70 km from adjacent Tirunelveli district and approximately 85 km from Trivandrum city. The town of Suchindrum is renowned for the Thanumalayan Temple and was an important citadel of Travancore.
Uniqueness of Suchindram Temple:
Suchindram temple is unique in the whole of India in that it is dedicated to three different deities represented by one image in the sanctum and is called Sthanumalayan (Sthanu-Shiva; Maal-Vishnu and Ayan-Brahma) kovil. The temple is rich in sculpture and architecture and a visitor to this temple is amply rewarded with the sight of such exquisite art of hundreds of years old
Mythology regarding Suchindram Temple:
The entrance tower to this temple is visible from a distance as it rises majestically for 134 feet. The face of the tower is covered with sculptures and statues from Hindu mythology. There is a covered area in front of the main entrance and the entrance itself is about 24 feet high with a beautifully carved door. There is only one corridor running along the outer wall of the temple with many shrines and mandapams scattered in the inner area. This temple attracts both Vaishnavites and Saivites in large numbers. About 30 shrines to various deities within the temple complex, the large Lingam in the sanctum, the idol of Vishnu in the adjacent shrine and a large idol of Hanuman at the Eastern end of the Northern corridor represent almost all the deities of the Hindu pantheon.

In Suchindram Temple , if you strike 7 different stones , you can hear the Saptha Swarangal (that is 7 Swarangal, namely of SA, RI, KA, MA, PA, THA, NI, SA in each different stone). You can spend a whole day in that temple as it has so much of interesting features & things to observe and see over there.

Even though extension of this Chennai- Palani Express to Pollachi is on the card, This area needs a separate express train preferably in the name of "ANAMALAI EXPRESS" at least from the next budget announcement between Pollachi & Chennai through Main line linking delta districts as well as temple cities viz. Palani, Dindigal, Trichy, Tanjore, Kumbakonam, Myladuthurai, Cuddalore ,Villupuram. Also it is very essential one as there is no train in this route for serving the needs of pilgrims and traders of these region.

For the year 2014-2015, already interim budget was announced in this February and new trains were announced by that time by the previous government Railway minister Mr. Mallikarjun karge. So, the next release of Railway budget by the present railway minister in a few days will be just formal only by the present elected government. At this juncture, instead of announcing any more new trains in his budget presentation, let him regularize the trains which were announced by the previous government by making them to run some of the trains which were not even inducted into track first.Secondly, most of the popular trains which are being run now with jam packed as weekly, biweekly, triweekly should be made into run as daily for creating the balanced network of current needs & demands. There are so many trains are being operated like this for many decades. Examples are Ganga kaveri express, Mahal...

express,, Vivek express, kovai- Rajkot express, Arabindo express, Vasco- Velankanni Express, Silambu express, Kovai -Rameswaram Express, Tirunelveli-Dadar express, Chalukya Express and so on in every zone. Apart from that, trains which were operated & later stopped due to gauge conversion are to be reintroduced and start their journey with their same names.Even for making all these into reality, Railway Ministry needs so many new coaches and they can utilize this period of next 7, 8 months for streamlining the back log and create a balanced network.Let the new railway ministry get shaped by utilizing this period and announce their own full pledged budget with any new amendments and introduction of new trains according to their desire by considering the basic facts & needs of general public in next February budget presentation. Till then, it is better and wise for not asking any more new trains at least upto next budget presentation as the existing list of so many announced trains have not yet rolled on tracks.Regards.
