I got ckwl20 currently 18,date of journey is 25 september in duranto(12282) new Delhi to Bhubaneswar,,will it get confirmed?? Total no tatkal seat is 78.

does it ever happen like train has tickets in current reservation but some PNR's are WL/RAC even after chart preparation?

I think the status may also shows as wl or rac minutes before preparation of chart of a particular train of a particular class, but after preparation of charts it may show available in current reservation status due to non exhaust of some quotas like HO quota or Foreign Tourist quota or tatkal quota etc although after allocating these vacant seats to wl/rac ticket holders.
