Waiting for Maq-Mas egmore express to get E loco.is it today ED-TPJ CRS?
After a long waiting, today in the evening I have seen 56602 Kannur Shoranur passenger pulled by blue WAG7 but not sure about which locoshed it was. I think today onwards electric traction has been made permenent for this train. Anyway one more train to get electricloco in this route.

unfortunately there was no wap4 or 7 with 12602 chennai mail and MS-MAQ express.

On or before Sep 15 was the mentioned date for linking electric locos to some more express trains. And October 1 was the fixed date of publishing new southern railway timetable. Now see what has happen, palakkad division realised that it is not so easy to provide electric traction to those trains in the absence of uppala substation. As per the latest news, it will take atleast one month to get the substation charged. Meanwhile the southern railway has been postponed the date of time table from 01-Oct to 15-Oct to come into effect.
I believe that there is a revised time schedule for many trains as per new time table especially because of time gain from shoranur jn and time...

Today morning 22851 Santragachi-MAQ Vivek Exp halted only 7 mts at Shoranur Jn on the way to Mangalore. This clearly indicates the arrival of one more eloco to this section.
Same time today kacheguda-maq took more than 20mts at srr. So probably diesel loco. But cannot confirm from that.

Yesterday (31-10-17) TVC-MAQ Maveli was running in electric loco as per the NTES info. It halted only 13 minutes at SRR.
Arrived at 2:35 and departed at 2:48

16348,16347 Mangalore Thiruvanthapuram Express is Running in Electric loco till Mangalore by Confirmed by NTES.Total 11 Trains are running in electric loco till Mangalore.And three trains remaining to change to electric loco they are Maveli,Chenni Egmore and Mangalore Intercity express
Yes. I had seen him (16348) from ferok station 3days back. Actually I was waiting there for confirming that there was no loco change has been taken place from WDP4D to electric. When the train was approaching to platform1 I really expected wdp4d. But the absence of that humming sound usually came from GE engines made me curious. when it came closer and closer I had got confirmed that it was an ERODE WAP4.

it seems that the palghat division has been allocating more WDG/P4 monster locos for hauling the passenger trains in SRR-MAQ strech. Many times I have seen this in 12602 chennai mail, 16346nethravathi, 10216 madgoan sfast, 16348 tvc exp.....?? Defenetly it was not the same loco... they are more in numbers?

i think in this route the WDM3D is being substituted by WDP/G4 locos
