How to search for trains between multiple cities?
I was looking for ways where I could search for trains between 2 cities.
For e.g. Mumbai has multiple options, you have trains originating from BCT, BDTS, CSTM, PNVL, etc. There could also be trains passing through these above stations but originating elsewhere.
I would like to search for all train options from Mumbai to say
...

Darjeeling. I would also like to see chains, if any.
How do I search for this?
Thanks a lot for this wonderful website.

there may be many stations in mumbai, you can choose any one and similarly for TO option also. For ex: if you search from Andheri(first in mumbai list) to Delhi Anand Vihar Terminal/ANVT(First when you type delhi), IRI Will all the trains from all the stations from Mumbai to Delhi..

Well. Thank you both. I do not wish to antagonize either of you by going on and on about this.
I seem to be unable to convey my point to you. Let me try again.
1. The search on this website largely appears to be from 'station' to 'station'. I am looking for an option to search for stations / trains from 'city/town' to 'city/town'.
2.
...

As IRChanakya has pointed out, "....It will give option while you type. Select the correct one". This is my point. I dont KNOW the CORRECT ONE. I just know the city/town name.
I sincerely hope I have been able to convey my points clearly this time.

Please read my answers. you no need to give correct one. Select the station alone. IRI will give all the trains from that city..

We have perfectly understood your query. The reply was given here itself. I has taken the example of CSTM-Gorakhpur. Please see the screenshot carefully. I have highlighted the "From" station. When we input CSTM-GKP, the system is showing trains originating from LTT as well as BDTS.

Thank you very much for your answers. I helps, but just a little bit. There is STILL trial & errors involved.
Please check.
Using your own example,
1. I selected the first option for 'from station' for Mumbai - got ADH
2.
...
I selected the first option for 'to station' for Chennai - got HOM
Result: Sorry. No trains found.
Later I checked the NEXT option for Chennai - MAS and THEN got results. So as I said there IS TRIAL / ERROR involved.
As far as my original query goes, I am sure there is SOME train option for going from Mumbai to Darjeeling. Not direct, but some train connecting the two cities. Evidently, I would NEVER get those results here. I will have to research elsewhere and come back here.
Thanks for pitching in to help me though.

There has recently been a lot of frustration among RFs when their Station Pics, Loco Pics, Train Pics get rejected because the "number is not showing", "shed is not visible", the loco/train is at a distance, Train Board is too small, "better pic available", etc. . To address this issue, effective tomorrow, ALL...

A minor update, but may impact many members: Hereafter, FMs will be able to delete invalid Red Flags on Imaginary trains. -@all members: As of recently, there has been a trend whereby minor name updates of Trains/Stations - whether such and such regional name should be there or not, whether the train should be called "Abc Express" or "Abc Superfast Express", etc. are threatening to take over the majority of Timeline entries. Also,...

It has been over 2 weeks since the appointment of the current batch of FMs and 750 Complaints have been handled so far.
