Post MAQ divn being formed as a part of SWR. This train along with its RSA partner should be short terminated at Kannur. A new train should be introduced by SWR from Mangalore to Chennai via Arsikere and Bangalore City. 12685/86 can continue though for its timing. The train should also be renamed a Kannur Mail. Similarly all trains extended to Kerala from MAQ should also be given back to SWR, MAQ Divn. All new trains from MAQ should be introduced only via UBL or SBHR - SKLR - HAS

Anyways, the legend belongs to SR (MAS) to serve kerala predominently and a new train can be introduced by SWR to serve the people of karnataka completely via SBC-ASK-SBHR . Why expect it from the step mother? WRT to Kannur It sure can accomodate one more train as it is accomodating JS at the moment. Btw does all trains in India have a coaching depot at its terminating points? and primary maintainence is MAS anyways for this train and am sure cleaning

yes rake transfer agreed. am not sure if SWR will want to run it via Kerala after that. But till with SR then the step mother should behave as a step mother.

do look at other points mentioned in the initial post. There has to be some trains that need to given back to MAQ as well and i am totally in agreement with that.. especially Mangala express.

Mr Shashank if IRTTC decides to run a train via KR to MAQ SR just needs to confirm if it can accomodate at MAQ and if at all it should get a stop at MAJN. and cannot force it to run via PGT though they can put their thoughts and request to route.
