As of today the AC Express is getting the slack of its life after getting detained because of the OHE debacle of the Mahabodhi near Tundla. Running 12 hours late now. I am supposed to board this on Wednesday from NJP. Certainly don't think it will start on time from NHLN tomorrow. Fingers crossed....

Bang on tym running 12504/Kamakhya - Bengaluru Cantt. Humsafar Express led by SGUJ WDP4 20082 slowed down at Dankuni to follow a TSR of 30kmph and procced towars its next stop Howrah.

Unable to book tickets on this through IRCTC. Showing an error relating to VEG/NON_VEG. But there is no place in the reservation details to enter the VEG/NON_VEG option.

Just arrived by this from SDAH on 26th. Travelled by AC3 and almost all people got down at NJP. Had a peek into some of the other coaches and, barring the general coaches, almost all were 80% empty. If this is the case, why extend it till NOQ? A stop at JPE or even at Maynaguri Road would have given the people of this region a great alternative of travelling to Kolkata after finishing the day's work. So..yes, a stoppage at JPE is definitely a must.

A distance of 71+ kms by road from Jalpaiguri To Mathbhanga or 50 from NJP to Jalpaiguri and that too in North Bengal is a considerable distance by all means. And how many SF trains to Kolkata does NCB require? Or for that matter even NOQ? A train from Dhubri would probably not be a superfast and would probably take a lot more time and have ridiculous timings for the people of Jalpaiguri. Almost all SF trains originating from Bihar have scores of stoppages between PNBE and MGS. So why not have a few more for this if this will benefit more people? Look at the Northeast Express (JPE stoppage), or SF trains to South India (stoppage at Dhupguri) and the GHY-SBC express (with stoppages both at Dhupguri and JPE) and you would understand what I mean. Take today for example. Departure from ALD at 12-20. Reached Subedarganj which is 4 kms from ALD at 12.58. That's more than 30 minutes to cover 4 kms.
Terrible!!!!!!!!. Travelling by this on 22nd March from JPE to ANVT. Will have to experience this ordeal as well. Will definitely file an RTI for this if the same thing happens.
