How does one get past the requirement to download a new version of browser when one wants to get a pnr prediction?

pnr prediction doesnt require any download..just post pnr in pnr forum and folllow that post.

I either go to My PNRs or to the PNR Forum. I still get the message that I have to download the latest version 4.140 whether I use Firefox or Google Chrome. The last time you said this was a bug. Can't you do something about it?

Install the IRI plug-in. That may help you fix this. It works normally for most of us.
