Click to open. whats meant by PQWL ehich is found in our reservation ticket?? Pooled Quota Waiting List A Pooled Quota Waiting List ('PQWL') is shared by several small stations in a particular region. E.g., Tiruppur, Salem, etc., share in the quota and wait list for some trains originating from Trivandrum or Mangalore. As another example, the 2723 Andhra Pradesh Exp. has three quotas, for Secunderabad - New Delhi, Secunderabad - nagpur, and Secunderabad - Bhopal. There is also a pooled quota for passengers travelling from Secunderabad to stations beyond Bhopal but short of Jhansi. If this quota is exhausted, a passenger is placed in the pooled quota waiting list. Pooled Quotas normally operate only from the originating station of a route, and there is only one Pooled Quota for the entire run. The Pooled Quota is intended to be utilized by passengers travelling from the originating station to a station short of the terminating station, or from an intermediate station to the terminating station, or between two... Read more... Start-End Quota allocated to stations pooled together in a group. Usually applies in situations where one of the journey station concerns an intermediate station. ex:- Start-intermediate, intermediate-intermediate, intermediate-end. ## ## In cases of availability, sometimes PQ is also applicable for combined PNR's Ex:- Pass 1 (Conf, PQ) Pass 2 (Conf, GNWL1) Then kindly provide us with the difference between Pooled Quota and Remote Quota. Sir PQWL only exists if train has Quota for that particular station Like for AP Exp Bhopal and Nagpur But if a Ticket booked up to JHS then it comes under RLWL So you mean to say that for Remote Quotas, stations are not provided with their individual quotas? Remote Location Quota: E.g., Bhopal has a quota with a corresponding wait list on the AP Express. The intermediate stations are usually the more important towns or cities on the route. The RL quota takes care of passengers travelling from these intermediate stations up to or short of the terminating station. RL quota tickets are never available from the originating station of the route. When the RL quota is exhausted, RAC (Reservation against Cancellation) begins, and it is then followed by ticketing on the RL Waiting List; in some cases when the RL Quota is small, the RL Waiting List is active immediately. There can be more than one Remote Location Quota for some long distance trains, corresponding to different stations en route. Passengers in the Remote Location Quota Waiting List are cleared against the vacancies in the earmarked Pooled Quota... Read more... IRFCA definitions are very much incorrect and unclear. Kindly build up your own perceptions. Sir I found it some what more easy to understand... so I saved them and usually follows same.... In lay man's languages I can say PQ happen If we book a Ticket for Hyderabad to NGP/ BPL or for NGP to BPL but RLWL all other intermediate stations except than in PQ 1. You cannot apply the same logic for each and every station. Here the station names has been put up for purpose of understanding. How would you figure out the station names for the other trains? 2. The same set of stations can be assigned Remote Quotas for some other train. 3. "RLWL all other intermediate stations except than in PQ" Incorrect. There exists many other set of quotas. The extract from IRFCA does not give a clear picture of what PQ and Remote Quota is. ... Read more... Sir I agree..........i have put my little logic in same but 1 more example Uttar Sampark Kranti Express it has PQ for NDLS to CHKB, PNP to JAT & UMB to JAT and RLWL for all other stations But in Jammu Rajdhani it has RSWL for NDLS to CHKB and RLWL for all other stations "Uttar Sampark Kranti Express it has PQ for NDLS to CHKB, PNP to JAT & UMB to JAT" Contradicts your earlier statements where you have mentioned of stations being allotted Pooled Quota. "But in Jammu Rajdhani it has RSWL for NDLS to CHKB and RLWL for all other stations" Show me one PNR having RLWL as the final status!! ### I again reiterate, you need to have a clear idea about the quotas. Remote quota does not only indicate RLWL. There are clear differences between RLWL,... Read more... OK Sir I will definitely try to figure out Quota System But really this is hard to understand......... Anyway thanks I dont know how correct i am but i think in 2621 tamilnadu express, Chennai to New delhi is General Quota from chennai to NGP or BPL - it is PQWL And to fill the same quota from NGP or BPL to NDLS it is classified as RLWL No, I have myself witnessed in Tamil Nadu, MAS-NGP, NGP-BPL, NGP-NDLS and BPL-NDLS all are under PQ. The train probably has only two quotas - GN and PQ (not counting CK, HO, etc.) thanq sir, .also i heard from some one that when u get a seat(either WL/CNF/RAC) in PQWL you will be offered a seat/bearth for sure..do you have any idea about that??
