vadakkus 122 blog postsAnother stoppage! Both Island Expresses have been allowed stoppage at Kazhakuttam! Does not make any sense since it does not arrive during the morning and evening rush hours, and they people didn't even demand a stop! I guess that whenever anyone demands a stop for any train anywhere, Island is given a stop somewhere. This is getting ridiculous.

Here comes good news for railway passengers hailing from southern districts.The running time of few trains will be reduced by 15 to 55 minutes, as the Thiruvananthapuram railway division authorities successfully upgraded the signalling system in the Kollam-Kanyakumari section.
The Bangalore City-Kanyakumari Express (train no. 16526) leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central at regular time of 3.45 pm will reach Kanyakumari at 6.05 pm i.e. 55 minutes early than the previous schedule from November 30 onwards.
