I have applied for TDR for not used ticket from Nagpur to Badnera viaNagpur - Mumbai CST (Weekly) Summer Special/01014, as train was late for more than 3 hours on 14-April-2013. I have applied the TDR on 14th April as train was late more than 3 hrs.
I have got following response, Can any one explain why TDR was rejected and what action I can take, as I have not traveled with this ticket and train was later for more than 3 hrs.

I had to travel from Nagpur to Badnera by 01014(NGP CSTM SPL) today(14-Apr-2013).Schedule deprature was 04:15 p.m. But train is re-Scheduled to 07:45 pm. Now I am going by bus.
I have already cancel the e-ticket(AC-3) by filing a TDR online.
Do I have to do anything else to cancel the ticket?
How much refund will I get for AC-3 tier ticket?...

As per rule on irctc site I should get since train is lates by more than 3 hrs.

In case of train running late by more than three hours & the passenger not performing journey on this account ,full refund is permitted subject to the condition that the ticket is surrendered/TDR obtained in case of I-ticket, if is in E-ticket customer should file online/mail to IRCTC within the prescribed time limits which are as under-.
Ticket distance Prescribed time
Upto 200 Kms 3 Hrs
201- 500 Kms 6 Hrs
More than 500 Kms 12 Hrs
