CHANGE OF BOARDING POINT :
If a passenger desires to occupy reserved accommodation from any station 1.enroute, he would be permitted to entrain at any intermediate station he chooses irrespective of the distance from the starting station subject to the following conditions :
2.A specific request must be made in writing at the station from where the ticket is purchased and reservation made atleast 24 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the starting station.

for example, if the request has been granted 24 hours before departure at the new boarding point, can the TT from a previous station still allocate the berth to someone else when the train arrives there?
( It is Class 1A, so there would be no RAC)

Even if it is confirmed after charting done you will not know it as these seats are dealt by the TTE's. I they are kind enough and you approach them in moving train then you might get the seat.......
