Stunning looking ALCO + visitor EMD | Excellent chugging in romantic atmosphere |
A wonderful afternoon atmosphere with light drizzle and cool breeze which is perfect weather for the love birds to spend time with each other!! In this beautiful weather, I had gone to capture this train which had arrived the previous day with a visitor Itarsi WDP-4D. However, what i got was a wonderful surprise in form of a stunning looking ERS ALCO power which was newly painted. The WDP-4D was piggy backing the ALCO back to Pune.

Just a different prospective of capturing a train in Konkan Railway!!
A train video captured in Monsoon 2016 using a Garmin Virb camera that i had borrowed from a cyclist friend of mine. The train was captured accelerating out of Udupi on its way to Barkur station!

A journey which I will always remember in my lifetime. A official visit to Jaipur on December 22 was done via ADI UDZ MJ JP just to cover the two MG section in central Gujarat and Rajasthan. Only after I reached Jaipur, I learnt that the section ADI UDZ was to be closed on the year end day for conversion to Broad Guage. Seen here in this video, our Mewar MG Passenger passing the only tunnel in this stretch, situated at Zawar. One can see our train stops for few seconds up the gradient just before the tunnel and then accelerates through.. It was a great delight to see the good old YDM4 work hard as we climb up the gradients. Zawar is a small town located betwee the Aravali hills 40 kms from Udaipur city. It is one of the oldest Zinc mines in the world.

Thunderstorm, heavy rain and speeding LHB trains | Monsoon 2017 |
Yesterday morning happened to capture two LHB trains in a span of just 15 minutes , one just before the commencement of a heavy rains with wind and the one when it started raining heavily. It rained for close to 45 minutes and i was forced to take shelter under a coconut tree. Despite the heavy rains, both the trains were clocking more than 100 kmph! The trains are :
